Among the mountain systems that make up the Zarafshan range within Uzbekistan, the largest is the Karatepa mountain range with an absolute height of 2200 m. It can conditionally be divided into four vertical altitude zones. The highest zone occupies a height of 1800-2200 m; the middle zone is 1200-1800 m and the lower zone is 750-1200 m. Below this height is the foothills. The aim of the research is to study the species composition and abundance of phytonematodes associated with perennial wild plants of the Zarafshan mountains. The article compares the new data obtained on the degree of salinization of hydromorphic soils common in the Mingbulak district, as well as on the dynamics of changes in ground, irrigation and drainage waters, with data from previous studies. Due to salinization of irrigated lands, as a result of filtering irrigated water from irrigation systems, raising the level of groundwater, improper operation of the collector-drainage network, the area of land increases, with a close occurrence of groundwater, which in turn leads to a number of problems in irrigated agriculture , accelerate the processes of salt accumulation and secondary salinization of …

This study sought to determine the relationship between young alumni participation in alumni association sponsored events and young alumni giving through the research questions (a) is there a relationship between young alumni participation and giving to the university?; and (b) is the giving behavior of young alumni who are donors to the university affected by attendance at alumni association events?
This study utilized a univariate analysis of variance (ANOVA) analysis with three separate dependent variables: pre-event giving, post-event giving, and total giving. The independent variables were factors describing specific young alumni behaviors: (a) attend but do not give, (b) do …

Despite the research that exists about transfer students, there is limited literature on the services that colleges and universities provide to adult students who transfer from community college to university. The number of adult students who participate in postsecondary education continues to grow. The purpose for this mixed method exploratory study was to gather data through both telephone conversations and a survey of transfer coordinators at Illinois institutions of higher education, including community colleges, public four-year institutions, and private, nonprofit four-year institutions. A vast amount of research has been devoted to the persistence and retention of college students since the 1970s. Recent research has focused on targeted populations such as first year students, racially minoritized, students with low social economic status and students at the developmental/remedial level. Nevertheless, limited scholarly research has been conducted on the persistence and retention of another category of students, sexual and gender minorities. This qualitative study examined the experiences that promote persistence among Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer/Questioning (LGBTQ) community colleges students.
