“The opportunity is there, this is what I think of when I think of role models, I think of my experience” (Anthony—a participant in this study—commenting on the effectiveness of advocating for his child). Black children encounter racism in American schools and parents need to advocate for them. The purpose of this qualitative study was to explore how Black parents developed and used their voice to advocate for their children in a predominantly White educational system with a history of racially disparate outcomes. งานวิจัยนี้จึงมีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาสภาพปัจจุบัน สภาพที่พึงประสงค์และความต้องการจำเป็นในการพัฒนาการบริหารงานวิชาการโรงเรียนผู้สูงอายุในกรุงเทพมหานครและปริมณฑลตามแนวคิดผู้มีสุขภาวะทางจิตและ เพื่อนำเสนอแนวทางการพัฒนาการบริหารงานวิชาการในโรงเรียนผู้สูงอายุในกรุงเทพมหานครและปริมณฑลตามแนวคิดผู้มีสุขภาวะทางจิต โดยมีกลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ โรงเรียนผู้สูงอายุในกรุงเทพมหานครและปริมณฑล จำนวน 58 แห่ง ผู้ให้ข้อมูล คือ ผู้บริหารสถานศึกษา ผู้ดูแลงานวิชาการหรือคณะกรรมการวิชาการ และครูหรือจิตอาสาสอน ผู้ให้ข้อมูลมีจำนวนรวมทั้งสิ้น 174 คน เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยใช้แบบประเมินและแบบสอบถาม วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการหาค่าความถี่ ค่าร้อยละค่าเฉลี่ยเลขคณิต ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ค่าดัชนีความต้องการจำเป็น และการวิเคราะห์เชิงเนื้อหา ผลการวิจัยพบว่า สภาพปัจจุบันของการบริหารงานวิชาการในโรงเรียนผู้สูงอายุในกรุงเทพมหานครและปริมณฑลตามแนวคิดผู้มีสุขภาวะทางจิต ในภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก ด้านที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงที่สุดคือ ด้านการจัดการเรียนการสอน สภาพที่พึงประสงค์ในภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด ขอบข่ายการบริหารงานวิชาการ ด้านที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงที่สุดคือ ด้านการจัดการเรียนการสอน และความต้องการจำเป็นของการพัฒนาการบริหารงานวิชาการโรงเรียนผู้สูงอายุตามแนวคิดสุขภาวะทางจิต คือ ด้านการวัดประเมินผล (PNImodified = 0.1111) มีลำดับความต้องการจำเป็นสูงที่สุด และด้านการจัดการเรียนการสอน มีลำดับความต้องการจำเป็นต่ำที่สุด (PNImodified = 0.0851) เมื่อพิจารณารายด้านของสุขภาวะทางจิต พบว่า ด้านความเป็นตัวของตัวเองหรือการมีอิสระแห่งตน (PNImodified = 0.1267) มีค่าความต้องการจำเป็นสูงที่สุด และด้านที่มีค่าความต้องการจำเป็นต่ำที่สุด คือ ด้านการมีสัมพันธภาพที่ดีกับบุคคลอื่น (PNImodified = 0.0802) แนวทางการพัฒนาการบริหารงานวิชาการโรงเรียนผู้สูงอายุตามแนวคิดสุขภาวะทางจิต ประกอบด้วย 3 แนวทางหลัก 6 แนวทางย่อย และ 24 วิธีดำเนินการ ได้แก่ แนวทางที่ 1)พัฒนาการวัดและประเมินผล เพื่อส่งเสริมสุขภาวะทางจิตของผู้สูงอายุทางด้านความเป็นตัวของตัวเองหรือการมีอิสระแห่งตน การยอมรับในตนเองและการมีความงอกงามในตน ประกอบด้วย 2 แนวทางย่อย คือ 1) กำหนดแนวปฏิบัติในการวัดและประเมินผลเพื่อส่งเสริมสุขภาวะทางจิตของผู้สูงอายุด้านความเป็นตัวของตัวเองหรือการมีอิสระแห่งตน และการยอมรับในตนเองและการมีความงอกงามในตนและ2) จัดทำเครื่องมือในการวัดและประเมินผล เพื่อส่งเสริมสุขภาวะทางจิตของผู้สูงอายุด้านความเป็นตัวของตัวเองหรือการมีอิสระแห่งตน การยอมรับในตนเองและการมีความงอกงามในตน แนวทางที่ 2) พัฒนาหลักสูตรที่เน้นสุขภาวะทางจิตด้านการมีเป้าหมายในชีวิต การมีความสามารถจัดการกับสิ่งแวดล้อมและการยอมรับในตัวเอง ประกอบด้วย 2 แนวทางย่อย คือ 1) วิเคราะห์ความต้องการจำเป็นของการพัฒนาหลักสูตรสถานศึกษาเพื่อพัฒนาสุขภาวะทางจิตของผู้สูงอายุด้านการมีเป้าหมายในชีวิต การมีความสามารถจัดการกับสิ่งแวดล้อมและการยอมรับในตัวเองและ2) กำหนดจุดมุ่งหมายหรือโครงสร้างของหลักสูตร สถานศึกษาเพื่อส่งเสริมสุขภาวะทางจิตของผู้สูงอายุด้านการมีเป้าหมายในชีวิต การมีความสามารถจัดการกับสิ่งแวดล้อมและการมีสัมพันธภาพที่ดีกับบุคคลอื่น แนวทางที่ 3) ปรับปรุงการจัดการเรียนการสอนด้านความเป็นตัวของตัวเองหรือการมีอิสระแห่งตน การมีเป้าหมายในชีวิตและการยอมรับในตนเอง …

The purpose of this explanatory sequential mixed methods study was to investigate how elementary teachers in Clay County, Florida rate their level of self-efficacy, while examining the specific leadership characteristics influencing self-efficacy from the perspective of teachers. Additionally, this study sought to identify characteristics and actions of principals that teachers consider to be important to their self-efficacy in teaching from home on a virtual platform during the global pandemic. Data on school discipline inequities have shown disproportionate numbers of Black students suspended and expelled compared to their non-Black counterparts. Despite the implementation of evidence-based solutions such as positive behavior supports and intervention, educator professional development, and restorative practices aimed at closing the racial discipline gap, little to no change has occurred. Critical Race Theory is used as a lens for viewing racial hierarchies as a socially constructed tool to oppress people of color. This dissertation is a synthesis of the review with a consensus that student engagement and cocurricular student philanthropy education create greater awareness, learning, and intentions around philanthropy and prosocial behavior, as well as increased instances of making charitable contributions and civic engagement. Over the last 15 years, Iowa’s Statewide Voluntary Preschool Programs (SWVPP) have undergone significant growth. By the end of the 2021-2022 school year, 323 out of 327 (99%) of Iowa public school districts offered preschool (Iowa Department of Education, 2022c). As a result, well over 450 Iowa administrators are potentially responsible for leading their district’s preschool program.

This thesis discerns the relationships between three interrelated movements of the post-war period (circa 1945-1959): the overwhelming concern among leading intellectuals regarding the relationship between the individual and society, the post-war debates over education, and rising religious observance. Following WWII, the nation’s leading scholars and social critics addressed the most important problem facing the country and, for that matter, the world: how to avoid totalitarianism.
