If Virginia is to continue its recovery from the pandemic economic shock of 2020, this growth will largely come from Virginia’s metropolitan areas. We ask whether Virginians have returned to the labor force in the aftermath of the pandemic and explore how unemployment rates may not reflect the availability of labor. Lastly, we examine how population change may influence the future of Virginia’s metro areas.

The 2022 HR@Moore Survey of Chief Human Resources Ofcers (CHROs) received responses from approximately 150 CHROs answering questions on a number of issues regarding the CHRO role. CHROs stand out as one of, if not the most diverse C-suite populations, as our respondents are 67% female and 14% nonwhite. While more racially diverse than most other C-suite roles, the latter number suggests this may still be an area of opportunity. Apparel companies’ propensity for manipulation in their marketing of environmental initiatives contributes to immense environmental pollution from petrochemical textile material production. Public scrutiny pressures these businesses to adopt “green” initiatives to avoid losing devoted consumers. In some cases, these initiatives disguise the real operations of a company or claim benignity for the company when this is not the reality. Previous business ethics research analyzed the emergence of “greenwashing” in corporations and thus concluded that corporations market themselves as eco-friendly to portray commodification as sustainable. Dynamic Double Auctions: An Analysis Of Secondary Sneaker Market And Its Future As An Nft Marketplace, Chris Zhu

A theoretical analysis of a dynamic double auction over time shows that greater market density can result in more aggressive trading strategies from buyers and sellers. In addition, my model suggests a fast price discovery period initially, with impatient investors having a more aggressive approach. I confirm these results using resale sneaker data from the StockX website for five deadstock sneakers. I find that market density is positively correlated with bid prices, and the bid-ask spread decreases over time during the price discovery period. This study aims to compare two alternatives for a Thai retail company’s process of shipping plastic product sourced from China to a subsidiary in Malaysia. The first alternative, currently in use, involves shipping the products for Malaysia subsidiary from Chinese suppliers along with those for Thailand in Full Container Load term to Thailand before being subsequently delivered to Malaysia. This research investigates the relationship between COVID-19 growth rates and the performance of Thai equity funds during the pandemic. Focusing on weeks with substantial increases in COVID-19 cases, we hypothesize that negative returns primarily originate from these weeks. We acknowledge the pandemic's impact as a black swan event, instilling fear and uncertainty, and its demonstrated negative effect on fund returns. Moreover, our research aims to identify the fund characteristics that have provided resilience and immunity to the negative effects of the crisis. Trade Credit With Firms' Life Cycle: Evidence From Stock Exchange Of Thailand (Set), Chaiwat Sae-Low

This study examines how firms’ life cycle affects Trade credit including the recession period by using evidence from Stock Exchange Thailand (SET). The study has been performed during 2000 – 2020 with 253 listed firms. Regarding results, it suggested that the firm life cycle has a significant impact on AR and AP days, except for AP’s growth. During the recession period, AP days for the introduction and mature stage have no positive impact. สารนิพนธ์ฉบับนี้ศึกษาความเป็นไปได้เชิงพาณิชย์ของผลิตภัณฑ์เครื่องดื่มเยลลี่โปรตีนสูงจากโปรตีนเวย์ เนื่องจากในปัจจุบันผู้บริโภคตระหนักถึงการดูแลสุขภาพมากขึ้นจากหลายปัจจัย ดังนั้นผู้วิจัยจึงเล็งเห็นโอกาสในการตอบสนองความต้องการของผู้บริโภคดังกล่าว รวมถึงความสนใจในการพัฒนาผลิตภัณฑ์เครื่องดื่มเยลลี่โปรตีนสูงจากโปรตีนเวย์ด้วยเทคโนโลยี จึงนำงานวิจัยดังกล่าวมาศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ในเชิงพาณิชย์ เพื่อประเมินศักยภาพตลาดและพัฒนาต้นแบบผลิตภัณฑ์ จากการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกกับกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ให้ความสนใจในด้านสุขภาพจำนวน 15 คน และสำรวจการยอมรับในผลิตภัณฑ์เครื่องดื่มเยลลี่โปรตีนสูงจากโปรตีนเวย์ จากกลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 400 คน และนำผลการศึกษาดังกล่าวมาออกแบบกลยุทธ์ทางการตลาดที่เหมาะสมสำหรับผลิตภัณฑ์เครื่องดื่มเยลลี่โปรตีนสูงจากโปรตีนเวย์เพื่อต่อยอดในเชิงพาณิชย์ จากผลการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก พบว่ากลุ่มผู้บริโภคเป้าหมายคาดหวังให้ผลิตภัณฑ์เครื่องดื่มเยลลี่โปรตีนสูงคือต้องการผลลัพธ์ที่ได้จากการรับประทาน ราคาที่จับต้องได้ และคุณภาพของผลิตภัณฑ์ จากการสำรวจการยอมรับในผลิตภัณฑ์ พบว่าผู้บริโภคมีความสนใจในผลิตภัณฑ์เครื่องดื่มเยลลี่โปรตีนสูงจากโปรตีนเวย์ร้อยละ 81.3 ประเด็นสำคัญในการพิจารณาในการออกแบบกลยุทธ์ทางการตลาดคือ ช่องทางการจัดจำหน่ายที่ผู้บริโภคที่สามารถเข้าถึงได้ง่าย รวดเร็ว และความสะดวกสบายด้านสถานที่จัดจำหน่าย สำหรับผู้บริโภคเลือกซื้อเครื่องดื่มโปรตีนเวย์เพื่อต้องการสร้างกล้ามเนื้อเป็นหลัก การพิจารณาในการออกแบบกลยุทธ์ทางการตลาดคือ ชนิด และคุณภาพของโปรตีนเวย์ที่ผู้บริโภคจะได้รับ เนื่องจากผู้บริโภคเน้นผลลัพธ์ที่ได้จากการทานโปรตีนเวย์ จากการศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ทางการเงินจากการจ้างผลิต (OEM) แทนการจัดตั้งโรงงานผลิต โดยมีเงินลงทุนเริ่มต้น 2,100,000 บาท ซึ่งจากการวิเคราะห์ผลตอบแทนทางการเงินในกรณีปกติ (Base case) ที่จำหน่ายผลิตภัณฑ์ในราคา 25 บาท โดยผลการคาดคะเนส่วนแบ่งตลาดที่ร้อยละ 5 พบว่ามีความคุ้มค่าในการลงทุน เนื่องจากธุรกิจสามารถสร้างกำไรซึ่งมีมูลค่าปัจจุบันสุทธิของธุรกิจ (NPV) เป็นบวก เท่ากับ 31,527,319 บาท และอัตราผลตอบแทนที่แท้จริง (IRR) เป็นบวก เท่ากับ 145.5% และมีระยะเวลาคืนทุนของธุรกิจ (Payback Period) เท่ากับ 1.38 ปี จึงสรุปได้ว่าผลิตภัณฑ์เครื่องดื่มเยลลี่โปรตีนสูงจากโปรตีนเวย์มีความเป็นไปได้ในการพัฒนาสู่เชิงพาณิชย์

นวัตกรรมกังหันลมแกนนอนขนาดเล็กแบบไร้เพลาสำหรับผลิตกระแสไฟฟ้าจากระบบลมระบายอุตสาหกรรม, วชิระ พุทธิแจ่ม

ลมระบายที่ถูกปล่อยทิ้งจากภาคอุตสาหกรรมเป็นแหล่งพลังงานลมที่มีศักยภาพสูงในการผลิตกระแสไฟฟ้า เนื่องจากการไหลของลมสม่ำเสมอ มีความเร็วลมสูง แต่การผลิตกระแสไฟฟ้าจากลมระบายอุตสาหกรรมยังไม่เป็นที่แพร่หลายเนื่องจากพบว่าเกิดผลกระทบเชิงลบต่อประสิทธิภาพของระบบระบายอากาศเมื่อนำกังหันลมแบบดั้งเดิมไปใช้ ผู้วิจัยได้สร้างนวัตกรรมกังหันลมแกนนอนแบบไร้เพลาเพื่อแก้ไขข้อจำกัดเหล่านี้ งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาและสร้างต้นแบบนวัตกรรมกังหันลมแกนนอนแบบไร้เพลาสำหรับผลิตกระแสไฟฟ้าจากลมระบายอุตสาหกรรม ศึกษาการยอมรับผลิตภัณฑ์จากมุมมองลูกค้า และประเมินความสามารถในการลงทุนเชิงพาณิชย์ งานวิจัยนี้มี 5 ขั้นตอน คือ ขั้นตอนแรก ทำการศึกษาทฤษฎี งานวิจัย สิทธิบัตรที่เกี่ยวข้องเพื่อหาช่องว่างในการวิจัย นำสนอแนวคิดสร้างสรรค์แบบอเนกนัย แล้วเลือกแบบที่มีความเป็นไปได้มาทำม็อคอัพเพื่อพิสูจน์แนวคิด ผลการศึกษาพบว่าต้นแบบกังหันลมแกนนอนแบบไร้เพลาสามารถหมุนได้ที่ความเร็วลม 5 เมตรต่อวินาทีขึ้นไป ขั้นตอนที่สอง ทำการออกแบบและสร้างต้นแบบกังหันลมแกนนอนแบบไร้เพลา ศึกษาการไหลของลมระบายผ่านกังหันลมแกนนอนแบบไร้เพลาโดยโปรแกรมสร้างแบบจำลองการไหลและการทดสอบจากต้นแบบจริงในห้องปฏิบัติการ ศึกษาผลกระทบต่อระบบลมระบายเมื่อติดตั้งใช้งานและความสามารถในการผลิตกระแสไฟฟ้าของต้นแบบกังหันลมแกนนอนแบบไร้เพลาที่มุมของแกนยึดใบพัดที่ต่างกัน พบว่าในเชิงเทคนิคต้นแบบกังหันลมแกนนอนแบบไร้เพลาที่มีมุมของแกนยึดใบพัดตั้งแต่ 105 ถึง 150 องศา สามารถหมุนได้ที่ความเร็วรอบในช่วง 25 ถึง 275 รอบต่อนาที เมื่อความเร็วลมตั้งแต่ 4 เมตรต่อวินาทีขึ้นไป มีศักยภาพในการผลิตกระแสไฟฟ้าและมีความเป็นไปได้ในการปรับปรุงให้มีประสิทธิภาพดียิ่งขึ้น โดยที่ลมระบายสามารถไหลผ่านกังหันลมแกนนอนแบบไร้เพลาสู่ภายนอกได้ โดยไม่ทำให้เกิดผลกระทบเชิงลบต่อประสิทธิภาพการระบายลม ขั้นตอนที่สาม ทำการออกแบบและปรับปรุงต้นแบบสำหรับการทดสอบภาคสนาม พบว่ากังหันลมแกนนอนแบบไร้เพลาสามารถติดตั้งและใช้งานในพื้นที่ที่จำกัดได้ โดยไม่มีผลกระทบเชิงลบต่อระบบลมระบายเช่นเดียวกับผลในห้องปฏิบัติงานและทราบถึงแนวทางในการพัฒนาผลิตภัณฑ์ให้มีประสิทธิภาพในการผลิตกระแสไฟฟ้าสูงขึ้นและมีความคุ้มค่ามากขึ้นในมุมมองของผู้บริโภคต่อไป ขั้นตอนที่สี่ ทำการศึกษาการยอมรับนวัตกรรมด้วยแบบสอบถาม โดยการสำรวจกลุ่มเป้าหมายจำนวน 322 คน พบว่าผู้ประเมินเห็นคุณค่าของนวัตกรรม มีการยอมรับเทคโนโลยีในระดับสูง และมีความสนใจอย่างมากที่จะนำกังหันลมแกนนอนแบบไร้เพลาไปใช้งาน ขั้นตอนสุดท้าย จัดทำแผนการนำไปใช้ประโยชน์เชิงพาณิชย์ โดยการจัดตั้งธุรกิจแบบสตาร์ทอัพดำเนินการผลิตกังหันลมแกนนอนแบบไร้เพลาสำหรับผลิตกระแสไฟฟ้าจากลมระบายอุตสาหกรรม ใช้เงินทุนเริ่มต้น 100 ล้านบาท จากการวิเคราะห์ความเป็นไปได้ทางการเงิน ธุรกิจนี้มีความเป็นไปได้ในเชิงพาณิชย์ โดยมีระยะเวลาคืนทุนเท่ากับ 3.17 ปี อัตราผลการตอบแทนการลงทุนคือ ร้อยละ 16.1 มูลค่าปัจจุบันในการลงทุนเของโครงการนี้เป็นบวก โครงการนี้มีความเป็นไปได้ในการทำธุรกิจ

The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of a GenCyber camp curriculum on teachers’ technology, pedagogy, and content knowledge (TPACK). The camp was designed to engage participants in developing the knowledge and skills to incorporate GenCyber Cybersecurity First Principles and GenCyber Cybersecurity Concepts (GenCyber, 2019) into their curriculums. Participants (37 middle and high school teachers from a variety of disciplines) attended one of two weeklong camps held at a Midwestern liberal arts university. As the number of available cybersecurity jobs continues to grow, colleges strive to offer to their cybersecurity students an environment which will make them sufficiently prepared to enter the workforce after graduation. This paper explores the academic and professional needs of STEM-students in various higher education institutions across Virginia and how cybersecurity programs can cater to these needs. It also seeks to propose an evidence-based approach for improving the existing cybersecurity programs so that they can become more inclusive and student-ready. Past research has found that employees who view themselves as overqualified for their jobs tend to hold negative job attitudes and be unwilling to go beyond the call of duty. In challenging situations such as during the COVID-19 crisis, when having “all hands-on deck” may be important to an organization’s survival, mitigating the negative tendencies of these employees becomes important. Adopting a sensemaking perspective on crisis management, we examine whether supervisors’ self-sacrificial leadership can mitigate these negative tendencies. The changing dynamics of middle school agriculture education requires research into the causes for some teachers and chapters to succeed while others do not. The reasons for success may be varied and related to many different factors. The aim of this study is to determine how programs perform at high levels, what factors help them achieve success, and the role that evaluation may play in the process. The types of evaluation used for middle school agriculture teachers in Georgia will also be analyzed.

Corporate law’s most important development is founded on a misunderstanding of the channels and consequences of shareholder empowerment. The Article’s title references the seminal Delaware Supreme Court decision that ruled that a positive shareholder vote effectively insulates a friendly sale from judicial oversight. Central to Corwin’s reasoning is the notion that the shareholder vote provides an effective restraint against insider overreaching. Yet every deal that includes a premium over the market price is assured of shareholder approval. The doctrinal lynchpin’s real-life insignificance exposes a baffling inconsistency in contemporary takeover jurisprudence.

This study presents a multiproduct fabrication cost-minimization model featuring external providers, commonality, rework, and postponement in the supply chain environment. Customers’ requirements simultaneously emphasize quality, variety, and fast response time in current markets. To satisfy customer needs, most manufacturers in various industries (e.g., clothing, household goods, automotive, etc.) plan their multiproduct fabrication by incorporating a postponement strategy, rework process, and an outsourcing option.
