This study investigates the earnings management strategy of defined benefit pension plan changing firms. I provide the evidence that managers engage in cash conservation activities and real earnings management in response to the changes in funding status and pension income through the manipulation of pension assumptions before and after pension freezing. These results suggest that earnings management through pension assumptions affects the normal operations of the firm through real activities during the defined benefit plan pension freezing. The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of sponsorship engagement (enacted via sponsorship activations) on consumers’ responses to sponsors’ activational communications. Specifically, this study aimed at examining if interaction and engagement with their team’s sponsors’ activational communication on-site, as well as on social media, influenced loyalty towards the sponsors. The study utilized service-dominant (S-D) logic as the theoretical framework. However, little is known about the role of sport supervisor or the relationship between sport supervisors and head coaches. Thus, this study seeks to define and better understand the role of the sport supervisor in intercollegiate athletics and explore the relationship between the sport supervisor and the head coach. East Tennessee State University welcomed more than 2,000 first-year students this week. New student enrollment at ETSU looks to be 9% higher than last year and 23% higher than in 2020, according to early enrollment data released by the university today.
