Some hospital leaders are ineffective in implementing the electronic medical record (EMR) systems in the hospitals. The purpose of this multiple case study was to explore strategies hospital leaders use to successfully implement EMR systems. The target population consisted of hospital leaders and healthcare professionals from two hospitals who have successfully implemented EMR systems. The conceptual framework of this research study was Kotter's 8-stage process for leading change, building on the model of an effective change management method. What follows is a proposal to redevelop the southern portion of the Hillsboro Airport located in Hillsboro, OR. The airport is owned by the Port of Portland. Currently, some of the property proposed for redevelopment is located “behind the fence”, in airport secure locations. The Port looks to open up and active land on the south end of the airport for commercial development.

The redevelopment plan must consider the needs of the Port of Portland, Washington County – neighbors and owners of the new Fairgrounds Master Plan development just south of the Hillsboro Airport, and the City of Hillsboro.

In our model case, this is a rack warehouse where the storage and picking of goods is ensured by forklifts. All kind of goods are stored on pallets. We provide evidence of mental accounting in the market for consumer installment debt and argue that increases in credit supply have been an important contributor in the recent rise in auto debt through a demand-for-maturity channel. Since the Great Recession, auto debt has grown faster than any other category of U.S. consumer credit and now eclipses credit cards in total debt outstanding. Simultaneously, auto-loan maturities have increased such that more than half of 2016 auto-loan originations had a term of over 65 months. Recent changes in the pharmaceutical industry have spurred an unprecedented wave of mergers and acquisitions. Some researchers and agencies have questioned whether pharmaceutical consolidation could impede drug innovation. However, as I explain in this Article, these concerns are largely based on an outdated understanding of the drug innovation ecosystem. Whereas a few decades ago almost all drug discovery took place inside traditional pharmaceutical companies, today most drug innovation is externally-sourced from biotech companies and smaller firms. This Article proceeds as follows. Part I presents doctrinal background. It discusses the laws governing tip-pooling, with an emphasis on relevant federal and state laws. Part II analyzes, from a law-and-economics perspective, how tip-pooling arrangements—both voluntary and mandatory—might arise, and what form they might take. Part III shows how governing law limits the ability of restaurateurs to put tip-pooling arrangements in place, and shapes the incentives of employees. It also analyzes the response of restaurants like the Union Square Hospitality Group that have barred all tipping. Courts and scholars point to the sharing economy as proof that our labor and employment infrastructure is obsolete because it rests on a narrow and outmoded idea that only workers subjected to direct, personalized control by their employers need work-related protections and benefits. Since they diagnose the problem as being our system’s emphasis on control, these critics have long called for reducing or eliminating the primacy of the “control test” in classifying workers as either protected employees or unprotected independent contractors. Despite these persistent criticisms, however, the concept of control has been remarkably sticky in scholarly and judicial circles.

This thesis documents an investigation that explored the use of narrative and material culture to present aspects of women’s lives from eighteenth-century Cork city to a twenty-first century museum audience. There were two objectives of this research. The first was to create a catalogue of elements from material culture through which these women’s lives would be revealed. The second was to use narrative to make this information accessible and engaging.

Graph theory has numerous applications in various disciplines, including computer networks, neural networks, expert systems, cluster analysis, and image capturing. Rough neutrosophic set (NS) theory is a hybrid tool for handling uncertain information that exists in real life. In this research paper, we apply the concept of rough NS theory to graphs and present a new kind of graph structure, rough neutrosophic digraphs. We present certain operations, including lexicographic products, strong products, rejection and tensor products on rough neutrosophic digraphs. We investigate some of their properties. We also present an application of a rough neutrosophic digraph in decision-making.

The purpose of this study was to describe agricultural information sources available to farmers and to describe food access and availability for the people of Dangriga, Stann Creek, Belize. This study used descriptive survey research methods with convenience sampling of the general public (n=22) and of farmers (n = 38) in the summer of 2017. Farmers use a variety of agricultural information sources with the extension service cited most often, followed by friends and fellow farmers. Some of the accounting scandals at companies like Enron and Tyco focused BOD’s on recognizing the potential for certain executive pay designs to encourage CEOs to misreport aspects of their accounting numbers. Social capital ties between an executive and a CEO increase the likelihood of the executive’s subsequent appointment as CEO. • Geographic, employment, university affiliation, and board overlap ties all positively influence appointment, with more ties enhancing the likelihood of CEO appointment. • Ties are particularly beneficial for appointment when the CEO has greater power and the company has performed well.
