Understanding why consumers choose to remain in relationships which they find less than satisfactory is a key concern for relationship marketing theory. In this paper we explore the alternative choices available to consumers after exit has been considered and then declined. Applying a narrative methodology within a social constructionist framework, the paper presents a theory of Relationship Neutrality. We go through the looking glass, into to a world of relationship contradictions and irrationality to consider long term relationship engagement which is different from the one theory has grown accustomed to.

IMPORTANCE OF THE STUDY. Currently, there is a paucity of evidence in the literature to show that handoff strategies improve the quality of handoff outcomes. Studies that show the usefulness and outcomes obtained from sign-outs may motivate junior clinicians, who have limited time to perform their clinical responsibilities, to support sign-out improvement efforts.

OBJECTIVE. To test a research model that embeds the Technology Acceptance Model and the Theory of Planned Behavior to explore factors that enhance the perceived (a) usefulness of and (b) clinical outcomes from sign-outs among junior medical officers.

Tim Murphy (R-PA), on Thursday, March 26. The hearing was entitled Examining the Growing Problems of Prescription Drug and Heroin Abuse: State and Local Perspectives. Shannon Parkey, a second-year pharmacy student at ETSU, will spend the summer taking part in the Johns Hopkins Pharmacy Internship Program through which she will work at the Johns Hopkins Weinberg Outpatient Pharmacy in Baltimore.

JOHNSON CITY – The Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy at East Tennessee State University’s Delta Epsilon chapter of the academic honor society Rho Chi recently received a grant to help create a valuable resource for students.

Hannah Oakes, Ph.D. student in the laboratory of Dr. Brooks Pond, recently received a prestigious American Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education (AFPE) Pre-Doctoral Research Fellowship. This highly competitive fellowship includes $10,000 per year to be utilized toward research and educational costs. As part of the application process, Hannah submitted a research proposal, as well as a CV, personal statement, and letters of recommendation. The review panel selected recipients based on the novelty, relevance, and feasibility of their proposed research, their academic achievement, their leadership skills and experience, their publication record, and their communication skills.

An assistant professor in the Gatton College of Pharmacy, Walls currently is focusing much of his research on doxorubicin, one of the most successful drugs used in the treatment of ovarian cancer.
