The Information Technology (IT) industry in India achieved a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 39.4 % from 1995-96 to 2000-01 in US dollar terms, increasing from $1224 million to $8260 million. Predictably, much of this growth came from exports which increased from $734 million to $6200 million, representing a CAGR of 42.7%. Software services accounted for 8.1 % of the exports during 1999-2001. During the previous years services accounted for an even higher proportion of exports.

The 43rd Airlift Wing at Pope AFB, NC, possesses 33 E-model C-130 aircraft. The airplanes range in age from 30-36 years old. Current plans call for replacing Pope's aging fleet of tactical airlifters with new C-130J model planes in FY11. There are two replacement alternatives proposed in this research. The first is to calls for replacing the C-130Es with C-130Js now. The second option is upgrade the C-130Es to C-130Xs and replace them in 10 years with the C-130J. The results indicate that the least cost solution is to upgrade Pope's fleet of C-130Es to C-130Xs now. However, after conducting …

Over the past decade, a considerable amount of attention has been given to federal legislation in making the federal government operate more efficiently and effectively by concentrating on Information Resource Management and Information Technology. In 1996, the Clinger-Cohen Act (CCA) was passed, creating the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO) in each agency of the Federal Government. E-Learning Technology is being used to train and educate a myriad of personnel. Evidence shows, however, that completion rates among e-learners are lower than that of traditional learners. Motivational theory is applied to this problem to explain why e-learners initiate, sustain and terminate behavior. In particular, an integrative motivational model, that highlights distal and proximal processes, is introduced to identify and measure those factors most likely to influence e-learning completion rates. Findings offer recommendations that may be useful to e-learning instructors, administrators, and designers. This study addresses the operation and support cost differences between the TUAF C-130E & C-130B, and the USAF C-130J aircraft. The TUAF C-130s have been being used for more than 30 years and changing world situations give armed forces different roles, and Turkey participates in all peacekeeping missions that are assigned by NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) and the United Nations. With the United States military representing an ever-shrinking share of the electronics market, Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Materiel Shortages (DMSMS) represents both a threat to mission capability as well as a large expenditure to maintain aging military weapon systems. As the primary manager of Federal Stock Classes 5961 and 5962, the Defense Supply Center, Columbus (DSCC) confronts the largest number of DMSMS cases. Credit Rationing In The U.S. Mortgage Market: Evidence From Variation In Fha Market Shares, Brent W. Ambrose, Anthony Pennington-Cross, Anthony M. Yezer

This paper examines the nature of mortgage credit rationing across geographic markets and time. Particular attention is paid to the response of conventional mortgage supply to higher risk conditions associated with regional recessions. We develop a series of four indirect tests based on the spatial variation of the FHA share of mortgages, both endorsements and applications, as well as FHA and conventional rejection rates. Results of these four tests indicate that conventional mortgage underwriting criteria do not become more flexible and may even become more demanding when local economic conditions deteriorate. The present study examines a range of moral issues associated with recent cyberstalking cases. Particular attention is centered on the Amy Boyer/ Liam Youens case of cyberstalking, which raises a host of considerations that we believe have a significant impact for ethical behavior on the Internet. Among the questions we consider are those having to do with personal privacy and the use of certain kinds of Internet search facilities to stalk individuals in cyberspace.
