This research develops a flexible agent-based modeling and simulation (ABMS) framework for supply chain risk management with significant enhancements to standard ABMS methods and supply chain risk modeling. Our framework starts with the use of software agents to gather and process input data for use in our simulation model. For our simulation model, we extend an existing mathematical framework for discrete event simulation (DES) to ABMS and then implement the concepts of variable resolution modeling from the DES domain to ABMS and provide further guidelines for aggregation and disaggregation of supply chain models. Using 629 observations of U.S. publicly listed firms with internal control related frauds from 2000 to 2006; this study investigates the change in auditor litigations in the Post- Sarbanes Oxley, Section 404 period. To the extent the conditions of the internal control in place are inadequate or non-existent, the possibility of the occurrence of internal control related fraud heightens. Thus, the inability of auditors to detect a financial statement misstatement due to internal control fraud in a timely manner exposes auditors to litigation (Barra, 2010; Heninger, 2001; Caplan, 1999). This research focuses on the smoking rates among the Active Duty Air Force (ADAF) personnel and the association of smoking and cost of hospitalization because of diseases related to smoking. Three types of analyses were used in this research. The Contingency Analysis was based on the data taken from the Air Force Web HA questionnaire. The Pivot Table Analysis and the Regression Analysis were based on a second data set associated with the cost of hospitalization. Studies have explored the antecedents to turnover in the military; however, results vary. This research used a meta-analytic method to evaluate reported correlations between antecedents of turnover intent and turnover in an effort to understand the true relationship between them and offer insight to leaders as to where they can affect turnover within their organizations. Included studies reported a military sample and were published between 1973 and 2009. The meta-analysis revealed no correlation between OPTEMPO and turnover intent. Not enough studies were included to evaluate the relationship between OPTEMPO and turnover. Varying definitions and measurements of OPTEMPO raised concern. Additional …

To do this, the constructs were clearly defined; relevant items were written representing the constructs. The purpose of the study was to examine the relationship between media as family leisure and family functioning among families with at least one adolescent child. Specifically, this study examined the relationship between family functioning and media use, media connection, and media monitoring over time. Depending on the material, technologies exist or could be readily developed to convert wastes into feed-stock for other processes. Disagreement exists as to whether negative feedback is good or bad and this impacts its use.
