The purpose of this study was to develop, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of a training program for L.D.S. priesthood home teachers.

A twelve week workshop was written and field tested in the Fullerton California Stake. The evaluation pointed out the need for a structured and ongoing program with emphasis on the fostering of interpersonal communication and relationship skills among individual priesthood home teachers. The outcome of this project was the development of a functional product entitled "A Home Teacher's Training Manual."

This study is an examination of the Metric Conversion Act of 1975 and its resultant impact upon business and industry in the United States. The effects on business studied are international trade, ISO standards, data processing, personnel training and conversion costs. The study concludes that timely planning for the now inevitable conversion is absolutely essential to a smooth and least costly transition to the metric system, each man must be convinced of the desirability of the change and that he should contribute his share to making the change.

Ever since computers began to be used routinely, management has been seeking an acceptable methodology for measuring programmer productivity. To date, however, no single method or idea has received widespread acceptance and use. Ad hoc indicators have arisen for a wide variety of uses, and each of these indicators suffers deficiencies.

Compounding the problem and creating an even greater need for measuring programming technologies. These technologies are so dramatic in their impact that cost estimating algorithms developed during the first two decades of programming are no longer useful.

A significant problem in analyzing bank loan requests exists because of difficulty in evaluating the human component in a firm’s resource structure. This research investigates a new accounting technique, human resource accounting, and identifies certain specific personality traits for correlation to a successful loan relationship. These techniques, coupled with the use of a suggested model for scoring personality tests of loan applicants, should enable a better analysis of bank loan risks.

Psychological tests were employed to measure certain personality traits of selected successful loan customers. One test used, the FIRO-B, provides indicators of certain “expressed” behavior traits and of certain …

In the 1850s and 1860s Gentiles monopolized the mercantile profession in Salt Lake valley. Conflict arose between the Mormons and anti-Mormon merchants for essentially five reasons: Mormon Church leaders believed merchants charged exorbitant prices, encouraged the coming of Johnston's army, falsely accused them for the "assassination" of two Salt Lake City Gentiles, supported Gentiles who were "jumping" Mormon land claims, and supported an adamantly anti-Mormon newspaper. Church leaders maintained that the motive behind these actions was essentially the destruction of their church; therefore, they levied a boycott against the anti-Mormon merchants in 1866.

Safety of private aircraft transportation is discussed with emphasis on the added safety of flying in North Dakota. This additional safety factor is attributed to the low terrain, numerous airports and suitable flying weather in North Dakota.
