Research Aims - This study investigates the influence of Japanese work cultures on Malaysian foodservice employees’ work stress and their turnover intention. Design/methodology/approach - A total of 381 respondents participated in this study, and the research data was validated prior to the empirical assessment. Research Findings - The results of this study signify that the Japanese work culture amplifies workers disorientation, stress and turnover intention. Research Aims: This study investigates the link between involvement in direct export activities and firm performance, with reference to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia. Design/Methodology/Approach: The study employed primary data collected from questionnaires administered to 271 exporting SMEs in seven provinces in Jawa-Bali Region. The OLS and GLM regression techniques were employed to estimate the export impact model. This study examines the impact of the founder on the IPO flipping activity in the Malaysian stockmarket, especially the Main and ACE Market, across the Global Financial Crisis (GFC) periodfrom January 2006 to December 2016. Multiple regression models have been used to evaluate the interaction of the founder and other independent variables. Using three sub-periods, namely pre- GFC, GFC, and Post-GFC, our results show: Firstly, the founder by itself does not have any impact on flipping activity. Our study aims to examine the relation of stock return, foreign equity inflow, and investor sentiment in Indonesian Islamic stocks. We use monthly data from 2012 to 2018 and 109 firms with 9,156 total observations. Considering heterogeneity and endogeneity assumption, our models are estimated by the system generalized method of moment. Our research found a positive bi-directional effect between stock return and investor sentiment on the contemporaneous period and the uni-directional effect in which investor sentiment negatively impacts stock return. This research examines the relationship and direction of return spillover of Asian REITs, between REITs and local stock markets, and its effect towards REIT returns. The samples are from Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Taiwan. This study investigates the relationship between anti-corruption disclosure and earnings management. Firms that disclose anti-corruption are related to the lower earnings management. The sample consists of 207 firm-year observation from 2016-2018. The data are hand-collected for the anti-corruption disclosure and the rest of the firm’s data are obtained from the Osiris database. Our result indicate a significant negative relationship between anti-corruption disclosure and earnings management. The relationship is more pronounce for the profitable and smaller firms. This paper examines the association between concentrated ownership and the profitability of banks in Indonesia during the period from 2012 to 2018 with a total sample of 93 banks or 651 observations. This study applies the Random Effect regression method, and reveals a non-significant association between concentrated ownership and bank profitability as measured by ROA and ROE. It indicates that a majority of shareholders tend to use their power to exploit minority shareholders, which can also strengthen the monitoring effect. This study aims to determine one of the weaknesses of the e-filing applications in reporting Annual Personal Tax Return with a case of earning less than 12 months. This study uses qualitative methods and data collection techniques used are literature studies, interviews and field studies. The selection of respondents with the following criteria : an individual taxpayer, has income from one employer in Jakarta with income period less than 12 months.
