Participatory Modeling (PM) is becoming increasingly common in environmental planning and conservation, due in part to advances in cyberinfrastructure as well as to greater recognition of the importance of engaging a diverse array of stakeholders in decision making. We provide lessons learned, based on over 200 years of the authors’ cumulative and diverse experience, about PM processes. These include successful and, perhaps more importantly, not-so-successful trials. Our collective interdisciplinary background has supported the development, testing, and evaluation of a rich range of collaborative modeling approaches. We examine how corporate and public governance shape an important type moral hazard in innovation which is that agents pursuing the quantity of innovation at the expense of the novelty. We theorize that both better corporate governance tools that regulate agents (including better alignment of agents’ private incentives and stronger monitoring), and higher-quality public governance that regulates the principals of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) reduce this moral hazard. Furthermore, we argue that higher-quality political governance enhances the functioning of better corporate governance tools in further reducing this moral hazard in innovation, thus creating interdependence. The problem of forecasting market volatility is a difficult task for most fund managers. Volatility forecasts are used for risk management, alpha (risk) trading, and the reduction of trading friction. Improving the forecasts of future market volatility assists fund managers in adding or reducing risk in their portfolios as well as in increasing hedges to protect their portfolios in anticipation of a market sell-off event. The clock has long been a social technology, or a way of authorizing a singular source to propel collective activity. This chapter explores whether this social function continues in quite the same way in the wake of digital technology. It investigates the particular role of the clock in the workplace—how a predictable relationship to time accrued value for The Organization as an institutional form. The chapter traces the history of the clock, from factories to the contemporary digital workplace, asking how new technologies have changed the status of the clock as a way of organizing labour and productivity.

However, results regarding the influence of interface aesthetics on a user's individual performance as an objective outcome are very mixed, yet of urgent interest due to the proceeding of digitalization. In this web-based experiment (N = 331), the effect of interface aesthetics on individual performance considering three different types of tasks (search, creative, and transfer tasks) is investigated. โครงสร้างคอนกรีตเสริมเหล็กเป็นระบบการก่อสร้างหลักของประเทศไทยมาอย่างยาวนาน และระยะหลังมีการใช้ระบบโครงสร้างคอนกรีตสำเร็จรูปกันอย่างแพร่หลายมามากกว่า 10 ปี อย่างไรก็ตาม ระบบคอนกรีตสำเร็จรูปที่ใช้กันอยู่มีข้อจำกัดคือ ไม่สามารถใช้งานได้ในสภาวะใต้น้ำ วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายในการพัฒนาระบบคอนกรีตสำเร็จรูปสำหรับโครงสร้างสระว่ายน้ำ โดยประยุกต์ใช้ยางรองคอสะพานเพื่อเป็นยางกันซึม ซึ่งยางจะต้องรับแรงเฉือนระหว่างชิ้นส่วนคอนกรีตและป้องกันการรั่วซึมน้ำของโครงสร้างได้ วิธีการศึกษาประกอบไปด้วย 2 การทดสอบหลัก หลังจากการออกแบบต้นแบบสระว่ายน้ำคอนกรีตสำเร็จรูปและรอยต่อระหว่างชิ้นส่วนโครงสร้าง การทดสอบแรกเป็นการทดสอบความสามารถในการรับแรงเฉือนและแรงอัดในเวลาเดียวกันเพื่อที่จะศึกษาพฤติกรรมการรับแรงเฉือนของยางในสภาวะจริง ผลการทดสอบแสดงถึงความสามารถในการรับแรงเฉือนของยางภายใต้หน่วยแรงอัดที่ 1 และ 2 เมกะพาสคาล สำหรับยางที่มีค่าความแข็งเท่ากับ 60 และ 70 ค่าแรงเฉือนสุดท้ายพบว่ามีค่าสูงกว่าค่าแรงเฉือนที่ต้องการสำหรับต้นแบบโครงสร้างสระว่ายน้ำสำเร็จรูป การทดสอบที่ 2 เป็นการทดสอบการป้องกันการซึมผ่านของน้ำภายใต้แรงอัดและแรงเฉือนในเวลาเดียวกัน การทดสอบออกแบบให้จำลองสภาพความลึกจริงของสระว่ายน้ำต้นแบบ นอกจากนี้ยังมีการประยุกต์ใช้วิธีไฟไนต์เอลิเมนต์ 3 มิติเพื่อวิเคราะห์หาการกระจายของความเค้นอัดที่เกิดจากการอัดแรง ผลการทดสอบการป้องกันการซึมผ่านของน้ำพบว่า มีปัจจัยอื่นที่สำคัญในการป้องกันการซึมผ่านของน้ำภายใต้สภาวะการรับแรงอัดและเฉือนคือ การคืบของยาง และความสม่ำเสมอของผิวสัมผัสที่รอยต่อชิ้นส่วนคอนกรีต นอกจากนี้ วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้ยังประกอบไปด้วยแผนธุรกิจ ได้แก่ แผนการดำเนินงาน แผนการตลาด และ แผนการเงิน เพื่อศึกษาความเป็นไปได้และการนำเทคโนโลยีนี้ไปใช้ในเชิงพาณิชย์ สุดท้ายนี้ วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้ยังประกอบไปด้วยการใช้ทฤษฎีการยอมรับ และการใช้เทคโนโลยี (UTAUT) เพื่อศึกษาการยอมรับ และใช้งานโครงสร้างสระว่ายน้ำสำเร็จรูป

การวิจัยมีวัตถุประสงค์คือ (1) เพื่อศึกษาลักษณะของข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับการท่องเที่ยวผ่านช่องทางสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ที่ส่งผลต่อพฤติกรรมของผู้บริโภค และการวางแผนสื่อสารการตลาดผ่านสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ของโรงแรมขนาดกลางและเล็กในประเทศไทย (2) เพื่อพัฒนาแนวคิดการออกแบบนวัตกรรมกระบวนการวางแผนสื่อสารการตลาดผ่านสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ สำหรับโรงแรมขนาดกลางและเล็กในประเทศไทย (3) เพื่อพัฒนาต้นแบบระบบการแนะนำการวางแผนสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ และทดสอบการยอมรับนวัตกรรมจากโรงแรมขนาดกลางและเล็กในประเทศไทย และ (4) เพื่อศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ในเชิงพาณิชย์ สำหรับบริการระบบแนะนำแผนสื่อสารการตลาดผ่านสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ที่พัฒนาขึ้น วิธีการศึกษาเป็นงานวิจัยแบบเชิงพัฒนา โดยมีขั้นตอนการศึกษาคือ การศึกษาข้อมูลทุติยภูมิจากการทบทวนวรรณกรรมและงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง การศึกษาลักษณะของข้อมูลสังคมออนไลน์กว่า 27,023 ข้อความด้วยการวิเคราะห์เหมืองข้อมูลโดยใช้ระบบประมวลภาษาไทย การศึกษาข้อมูลปฐมภูมิจากการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกแบบกึ่งโครงสร้าง จากผู้เชี่ยวชาญสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ และนักสื่อสารการตลาดของโรงแรมจำนวนทั้งหมด 10 ราย เพื่อจัดหมวดหมู่ข้อมูลอัตโนมัติ เทรนด์ โอกาส และความสนใจที่ได้จากการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล โอกาส อุปสรรค และความคาดหวังของการวางแผนสื่อสารการตลาดผ่านสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ เพื่อได้มาซึ่งแนวคิดของโอกาสในการสร้างนวัตกรรม ข้อมูลที่ได้จากการวิจัยขั้นต้น นำมาสังเคราะห์เพื่อพัฒนาแนวคิดการออกแบบนวัตกรรม กำหนดคุณลักษณะของบริการ และทำการทดสอบความเที่ยงและความน่าเชื่อถือได้ของแนวคิดการออกแบบด้วยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกกึ่งโครงสร้างโดยผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านข้อมูล เทคโนโลยี การออกแบบ สื่อสังคมออนไลน์ และนักการตลาดโรงแรม จำนวน 6 ราย ผลการศึกษานำมาพัฒนาเว็บแอพพลิเคชั่นต้นแบบนวัตกรรมระบบแนะนำที่ได้มาจากแนวคิดการออกแบบ แล้วนำมาทดสอบการยอมรับโดยการใช้แบบสอบถามสำรวจการยอมรับต้นแบบนวัตกรรมกับนักการตลาดของโรงแรมขนาดกลางและเล็กจำนวน 40 ราย พบว่ากิจการส่วนใหญ่ร้อยละ 97.5% ยอมรับต้นแบบนวัตกรรมระบบแนะนำในทุก ๆ ด้านของการทดสอบ เช่น ด้านประโยชน์เชิงเปรียบเทียบ ด้านความสอดคล้องกับการใช้งาน ด้านความซับซ้อนในการใช้งาน ด้านการลองใช้งานของระบบ ด้านการสังเกตเห็นได้จากการใช้งาน และศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ทางธุรกิจของต้นแบบนวัตกรรมระบบแนะนำในเชิงพาณิชย์ ทางด้านการตลาดและการเงิน ซึ่งสรุปได้ว่ามีความเป็นไปได้สูงในการนำไปใช้จริงในเชิงพาณิชย์

As the reported number of data breaches increase and senators push for more disclosure regulation, the SEC staff issued a guidance in 2011 on disclosure obligations relating to cybersecurity risks and incidents. More recently, on February 26, 2018 the SEC Commission issued interpretive guidance to help assist public companies prepare disclosures regarding cybersecurity risks and incidents. As reported incidents of cybersecurity breaches occur, investors are concerned about the risks associated with these incidents and the impact they may have on financial performance. The goal of this research is to describe an active learning opportunity that was conducted as a community service offering through our Center for Cybersecurity Education and Applied Research (CCEAR). As a secondary goal, the participants sought to gain real world experience by applying techniques and concepts studied in security classes.
