Intergenerational succession poses a vital challenge for family firms, with only 10% of global family businesses surviving to the third generation. Chinese family firms, growing alongside reform and opening-up, now face a critical succession period as founders average over 60 years old.

Based on 1932 A-share listed family firms from 2007 to 2024, this study theoretically and empirically examines how intergenerational succession affects corporate performance, investigates the mediating role of governance de-familization (management, ownership, control rights), and tests the moderating effect of intergenerational differences.

Financial inclusion (FI) encourages economic empowerment and growth while also serving as a catalytical factor in achieving seven of the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals. Attainment of these and other benefits of FI is largely dependent and influenced by various factors and determinants. Analysing sample data of 26,930 responses from the Access to Financial Services in Nigeria (A2F) 2023 survey, this study examined the factors influencing FI using the Multiple Logistic Regression model. This research introduces the concept of relational resilience, which reflects the dynamic capacity of a buyer–supplier relationship to absorb external shocks and continue its core function of exchange. Guided by structural inertia theory (SIT), the research explores how relationship age, exchange volume, and multiplexity contribute to relational resilience across both stable periods and times of extreme disruption. Using a large-scale panel dataset of buyer–supplier relationships and the COVID-19 pandemic as an exogenous shock, the findings reveal that relational resilience is enhanced by all three mechanisms, but extreme disruptions lessen the protective value of relationship age and exchange volume while strengthening …

This study examined the effect of information and communication technology (ICT) use on small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) performance with a focus on the mediating roles of entrepreneurial orientation, strategic agility, and organizational resilience. Cross-sectional data were collected from 298 SMEs in Lagos, Nigeria, using a questionnaire based on previously validated measurement scales. Partial least squares modelling was applied to test the hypothesized five-factor model. The results demonstrate that ICT use, in response to globalization, exerts a significant and positive effect on SME performance. This study examines how religiously grounded sacred values and cultural tightness shape entrepreneurial action. Scholarship on religious entrepreneurship often emphasizes how practices connected to believed superhuman powers motivate and support entrepreneurial processes and outcomes. We highlight a complementary perspective by theorizing that sacred values work as moral commitments rooted in religious practices that limit the action individuals view as acceptable under uncertainty. We further argue that the influence of sacred values depends on the cultural contexts in which entrepreneurial action is embedded.
