This paper provides a literature review of United States of America’s reliance on imported Covid Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) during the Covid pandemic. The abstracted and cited articles show that the United States was too reliant on imported PPEs, primarily imported from Asia which led to shortages as the cases of Covid surged at various points during the waves of Covid cases. This supply and demand imbalance was not just an inconvenience such as the toilet paper shortage and other supply chain disruptions of basic commodities; this supply and demand imbalance had life and death impacts for many first responders, …

Individuals who engage in water-based recreation share a distinct bond with water quality due to their direct contact with aquatic environments during leisure activities. Increasing concerns about water quality have led to a rise in research exploring how environmental conditions and perceived risks shape environmental attitudes and conservation actions. However, it remains uncertain whether water recreationists extend their conservation efforts beyond those directly tied to their activities. The COVID-19 pandemic had a profound impact on nature-based recreational activities. Outdoor recreation became popular as an alternative to international travel with less risk of contagion. However, the question remains whether there was an enduring change in the role of natural resources in driving visitors. This study investigates the relevance of recreational waters, particularly lakes and beaches, to changes in patterns of domestic visitors to South Carolina between 2019 and 2023. All counties showed growth in recreational visitors, as well as diversification of visitors. However, the magnitude of the increase showed a significant difference based on geographical factors. The Stony Island Arts Bank (SIAB) in Southside Chicago was designed and founded as a piece of art itself, with the organizational structure being a museum of Black cultural production. This article examines how the institution constructs an epistemology of Blackness through its archival practices, community programming, and spatial claims on the South Side. Founded by artist Theaster Gates through the Rebuild Foundation, the SIAB positions institutional design as an art medium, operating in productive tension with orthodox museum methods. International Journal of Applied Management and Technology

The widespread use of information and communication technology in modern workplaces has intensified techno-stress. This study examines the impact of techno-stressors—techno-overload and techno-complexity—on techno-anxiety, its role in driving techno-exhaustion, and the mediating effect of techno-anxiety in this relationship. Data from Indian IT sector employees, collected via snowball sampling, was analyzed using structural equation modeling in AMOS (Version 23). Our findings revealed that techno-overload and techno-complexity significantly heighten techno-anxiety, which, in turn, exacerbates techno-exhaustion. Techno-anxiety serves as a crucial mediator in linking stressors to exhaustion. Strategic Analysis Of Digital Transformation Capabilities: A Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Evaluation Of Low-Cost Airlines, Mehmet Sahin Durak

International Journal of Aviation, Aeronautics, and Aerospace

This study comparatively assesses the digital transformation capabilities of low-cost carriers (LCCs) operating in Turkey through the lens of dynamic capabilities. Based on a literature review and expert input, a hierarchical set of sensing, seizing and transforming sub-dimensions was defined. Criteria weights were obtained using the Best–Worst Method (BWM), and airline performance was evaluated and ranked with the WASPAS technique. The empirical application—covering Pegasus, SunExpress and Ajet—reveals that digital seizing capabilities (notably strategic digital agility, digital strategy development, and resource prioritization) carry the greatest weight. Businesses primarily provide products or services, expand operations, and generate profits. However, they frequently disregard the environmental and economic consequences of their actions as they strive for profitability and growth. Consequently, the main objective of this research was to examine the impact of a multifaceted supply chain function on performance. Data were collected from 415 respondents employed in various manufacturing companies within a developing economy. The hypotheses were evaluated using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through Smart PLS. The findings discovered that ten of the thirteen hypotheses tested were supported, while three were not. The research investigates women's motivation, and challenges in business, focusing on gender equality and social inclusion's impact on female entrepreneurs in the service industry. This is qualitative research. Phenomenology served as the research design. The semi-structured interviews were employed for interviews from eighteen entrepreneurs after acquiring ethical approval. Thematic analysis was employed as a data analysis approach. Multiple methods assured rigor. The study's outcome addressed several themes, suggesting that Women's entrepreneurship may increase social inclusion, and gender equality, and lessen poverty. This paper looks at how an entrepreneur’s functional track background affects the perceived issues they focus on in their endeavor. Previous literature on this topic typically implements the resource base view. However, this paper extends the literature by utilizing the attention base view. In order to answer the research questions, publicly available data from the Panel Study of Entrepreneurial Dynamics (PSED) I & II is used. This study is ongoing, with the hope of helping new entrepreneurs understand how experience tunnel vision can affect where they place their attention and their overall success.

Stigma By Association- The Social Consequences Of Poor Delegation For Followers, Shucheng Ge, Zhen Yan

Drawing on stigma theory, we examine how poor delegation quality affects followers' social outcomes. Study 1 (N=246 leader-follower dyads) shows poor delegation significantly reduces trust in leader, which mediates the relationship with followers' perceived ostracism. The significant indirect effect reveals that followers with reduced trust become stigmatized by association—others distance themselves from followers under poorly delegating leaders, creating social costs beyond the dyad. Study 2 (planned) will apply social learning theory to investigate whether leaders develop awareness of their poor delegation quality through observing follower ostracism patterns, completing a feedback loop. Findings highlight delegation's hidden social consequences.

This paper creates a theoretical model for analyzing the likelihood of a supplier climbing the value chain and becoming a new competitor. The model includes four areas of analysis, the complexity and importance of the item being sourced, and the level of total interdependence and type of strategic alliances between the firms. By using this model, a company could look at the likelihood of their suppliers climbing the value chain. This analysis involves giving different levels of strength to each factor, which will create the overall level of likelihood.

We resolve splintered theorization of hope by developing a more reliable and valid measure of hope for the context of entrepreneurship. Based on the received view of hope we tested the social psychological hope scale (SPHS) against our entrepreneurship-contextual simple hope scale (SHS), which is based on a definition of hope that gets at what entrepreneurs mean by hope. Our findings help develop and support SHS as having greater reliability (internal and test-retest) and validity (face, convergent, and predictive) than SPHS. This study investigates the factors influencing consumer acceptance of Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) in Pakistan by extending the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2) model. This study integrates Perceived Trust (T) as moderator and Shariah Compliance (SC) and Perceived Credibility (PC) as mediator to fit the model according to unique religious and socioeconomic context of Pakistan.
