What began as a guide for the Jesuit cemetery at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts has become a collection of biographical profiles and an historical timeline written as the College celebrates its dodranbicentennial. The book consists of seven chapters, each dealing with one of the seven 25-year periods that make up the College’s 175 years. Each chapter includes, for its time period, a view of how the College looked, a timeline outlining the important events that occurred and a short biography of the men who died and were buried in the cemetery.

This article discusses the development and delivery of a three-week asynchronous online course on Jesuit history, education, and the Ignatian Pedagogical Paradigm (IPP) for librarians working in Association of Jesuit Colleges and University (AJCU) institutions. Created by two instruction librarians and one instructional designer from a pair of AJCU institutions, the course explores incorporating the IPP -- a contemplative learning model -- into a one-shot, single class library instruction session. In 1599 the Society of Jesus approved the Ratio atque Institutio Studiorum Societatis lesu (Method and System of the Studies of the Society of Jesus). The document outlined policies and procedures on the administration, curriculum and teaching practices in its educational institutions in Europe and abroad. Part of the Ratio detailed a secondary program of studies in classical languages and literature.
