Matrix Determination Of Reflectivity Of Hidden Object Via Indirect Photography, Simon S. Ferrel
Theses and Dissertations
Indirect photography is a recently demonstrated technique which expands on the principles of dual photography and allows for the imaging of hidden objects. A camera and light source are collocated with neither having line-of-sight access to the hidden object. Light from the source, a laser, is reflected off a visible non-specular surface onto the hidden object, where it is reflected back to the initial non-specular surface and collected by the camera. This process may be repeated numerous times for various laser spot positions to yield slightly different camera images due to a variation in the illumination of the object. These …

This picture nicely represents the art and gracefulness of flight with the beauty of sunset in a tranquil setting. In the picture is a powered paragliding, also known as paramotoring in the plains of Nebraska. The ability to fly both low and slow safely, the 'open' feel, the minimal equipment and maintenance costs, the portability, minimally regulated and requires no license are claimed to be this type of flying's greatest merits. This picture was taken, at the racetrack the evening before the start of the North American Solar Challenge 2008 race in Plano, Texas. In this picture is the Sunseeker, Western Michigan University’s solar powered car that will race in the 2 week long, 2400miles long race from Plano, Texas to Calgary, Canada. Sunseeker was the only car in that race that feature a 2 electric motor drive system than the standard one electric motor drive system. Western Michigan University Sunseeker team brought back the sportsmanship award that year.

Upon Reflection: Judy Ellis Glickman is the catalogue from the University of New England Art Gallery’s June 26–Sept 30, 2012 exhibition of photographs made by Judy Ellis Glickman over a 35-year period. Best known among these are the powerful black and white images from “Holocaust, the Presence of the Past” and her strong portraits of “Resistance and Rescue: Denmark’s Response to the Holocaust.” Well represented with other work, among a broad range of subjects, are images of Maine, exotic ones of her extensive international travel, and her latest abstract images in color.
