This collection consists predominantly of slides and photographs taken on Herman P. Dean’s travels and limited papers consisting of travel brochures, firearm and book catalogs, personal notes and ephemera, and correspondence related to Dean’s book purchasing habits.

The photographs are the bulk of the collection and consist of 200-300 slides that were unable to examined extensively and more than 200 developed photographs from various trips and events. In addition to her newspaper columns, she also conducted genealogical research.

Carrie Eldridge is a genealogical researcher in Chesapeake, Ohio.
