Engaging with the abstraction of perception, Henderson uses painting and drawing techniques to investigate the concept of ephemerality and reconfigures shapes and colors to create a visual experience based on the illusion of three-dimensional space. Henderson lives on her homewtown of Morrilton, AR, where she continues to create paintings, drawings and installations.

This thesis features three documents: The Screenwriter's Notebook Template, The Screenwriter's Notebook: Solstice, and a reflection paper. The Screenwriter's Notebook Template is a planning and pitch tool designed to help screenwriters tell better stories, faster. The template is designed so the user may start with one word (the thematic subject) and flush out their story through a series of guided diagrams inspired by the works of Robert McKee, Dara Marks, and John Vorhaus. Time Machine is a hybrid documentary that explores the logics of enslavement, colonialism, eurocentrism and their interconnectedness in our globalized world. Mustapha Azemmouri, born in 1502, undertakes a journey to the 21st century to recount his own story of enslavement and exploration, and reflects on a collective puzzle of 500 years of hidden history.

There is increasing research suggesting presence as the foundation of therapeutic work with clients and is becoming just as important a concept as theoretical orientation of therapists. This literature review focuses on understanding the skill of presence by looking at existing literature on the concept and suggests expressive arts and meditative practices as a tool to cultivate therapeutic presence. Using the Geller-Greenberg model of Therapeutic Presence as the foundation, I answer two questions in this thesis, what presence means conceptually and how therapists can achieve presence when working with clients. "Choking Hazards" is a collection of three short stories and a poem. Identity, whether national or personal relies on a collective imagination formulated from both facts and fiction. Thus, the relationship of truth is equally indebted to history and invention. Zadie Smith’s craft essay, “Fail Better,” recognizes writing as, “the attempted revelation of this elusive, multifaceted self,” (Smith 355). Though we only have our own limited knowledge of the self, we can find other selves through literature.
