"On Art: by Lydia Douce" provides coverage of a year (1988) in the life of the visual arts in Richmond, Virginia. Artists reviewed include VCU faculty such as Barbara Tisserat, Gerald Donato, James Bradford, Joe Seipel; many notable fixtures of the Richmond scene (Mary Holland, Joan Gaustad, Donald Crow); and national and international artists who exhibited in the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and VCU's Anderson Gallery. Authorship was at the time anonymous.

Texts relating to the Earl of Abergavenny (ship)
Poem written by William Wordsworth in response to Sir George Beaumont's painting Piel Castle in a Storm, which Wordsworth associated with his brother's tragedy. Captain John Wordsworth died when his ship, the Earl of Abergavenny, sank off the coast of England during a storm in February, 1805.
