This book is like an anthology of Australian landscape painting; it brings together for the student a range of works by artists of diverse backgrounds and different levels of commitment to the landscape as a source of imagery and it invites consideration of the paintings from a number of points of view.

There will be a Christmas greeting card on the drawing board in Danish-born artist Karl Larsen's Detroit studio this fall, just as there has been every year since 1932 when he began the tradition. But today , at age 97, his Christmas list has grown to between 400 and 500 names and it takes longer to address and stamp all the specially designed cards than it does to make the original.

This project concerned the availability of resource material to teachers of units on Northwest Indians. The project evolved as a result of the strong belief of the researcher that a distinction should be made between the tribes of the southern Puget Sound area, and their neighbors to the north. A resource guide to the art of the Puyallup/Nisqually Indians was developed and used in the classroom of the researcher. Recommendations and suggestions for use were included in the resource guide.

The recent changes in public policy which affect mental health practitioners indicate an increasing perception on the part of the policy makers that the once inviolate and legal grounds of confidentiality in the therapeutic relationship are outweighed in some cases by the need for protection of certain members of society. This shift in role for therapists creates certain situations which may be perceived as dilemmas by the therapists. Changes in the accountability of the therapist are occurring rapidly, and in the direction of increased responsibility to society over responsibility to clients. The break-up of couple relationships is becoming an increasingly common life event. Weiss (1975) claims that among married couples, a period of separation is a common rather than an exceptional experience. "If we assume that the rate of separation in the future will be the same as it is now, it is a safe prediction that about half (somewhere between 45 and 60 percent) of American marriages now made will at some point sustain a separation” < 1> (1975:11). Because a single theological interpretation of the Sistine Ceiling cannot be made, the ceiling is a portrait of Renaissance concepts. Besides the personal struggles of the Pope and Michelangelo between 1508 and 1512, the ceiling is representative of the whole century before its creation. Michelangelo has mingled both civic and religious sentiments into the ceiling. Michelangelo has combined his experiences in the Medici circle with his personal beliefs. The ceiling with its most basic depiction of the fundamental concept of man's aspiration of redemption becomes almost a chaotic representation of the history of man, but which contrasts with the beauty …

The goal of this Master’s thesis in Sociology is twofold. The first goal is to present a description of an emerging form of nuclear family. This emerging family type is the stepfamily which forms after the divorce of one or both adults with children from a previous marriage. This form of nuclear family has many characteristics common to all nuclear families. This study is an exploratory investigation of delinquency in Saudi Arabian males of similar ages and backgrounds. Saudi Arabia is undergoing many rapid social changes. While the rate of juvenile delinquency is very low in Saudi Arabia, compared to that of the industrialized nations, it appears to be a growing phenomenon. The relatively low rate is deceptively significant, as the people of Saudi Arabia are relatively intolerant of this behavior, compared to the people of the industrialized nations. It is uncommon for juvenile delinquency to be discussed publicly, and it is even more uncommon for people to work with delinquents, …
