In 1976, Lynn M. and Hope Hilton, In Search of Lehi's Trail (Salt Lake City: Deseret Book, p. 94) and Ensign (September-October 1976), proposed that the place called Nahom (1 Ne. 16:34), where Ishmael died and was buried, was around Al Kunfidah near the Red Sea coast of Saudi Arabia. Ross T. Christensen, Ensign (August 1978, p. 73), soon suggested an alternative location for Nahom, based upon a map of Yemen prepared as a result of a 1762-64 exploration by Carsten Niebu hr for Danish King Frederick V

This article explores the ordeals of returnee female domestic migrant workers of Bangladesh to find out ways help formulate policies by the government. A study has been conducted based on primary and secondary sources. It finds that all types of tortures, including physical, sexual, setting them on afire, forcibly cutting their hair, and hit and falls from rooftop, has to be faced by the women migrant workers. The Bangladeshi female migrant workers have to work for 16-18 hours in a day. They are made untimely repatriation to Bangladesh without pay blaming them for theft or such other false allegations. This thesis explores the uncivil disobedience evident in some of Henry D. Thoreau’s work, which is often regarded as the birth and foundation of what is today known as “civil disobedience.” Using the nature of Thoreau’s subtle language and his philosophy of action from principle in his writings, including “Resistance to Civil Government” (1849), Walden (1854), “Life Without Principle” (1863), “A Plea for Captain John Brown" (1859), and some of his real life actions, this thesis will examine the antagonistic and, perhaps, uncivil nature of Thoreau’s so-called “civil disobedience.” This thesis will also incorporate Sophocles’ play Antigone (441 BBC), Candice …

Many scholars focus on J.R.R. Tolkien's personal history and attempt to locate his own trauma in the texts of his works. However, this focus often overlooks the role that trauma plays in the reshaping of individual and cultural identity within the works of Tolkien. Tolkien uses a number of methods to communicate trauma throughout his works, but these methods often have roots in Anglo-Saxon Literature. This study analyzes the various ways that Tolkien adapts Anglo-Saxon works to communicate trauma while simultaneously using the traumatic events to help communicate healing through the interaction of the traumatized with their community.

This article recapitulates and develops the attempts in the Nietzschean traditions to address and overcome the proliferation of nihilism that Nietzsche predicted to unfold in the next 200 years (WP 2). Nietzsche approached nihilism not merely as a psychology but as a labyrinthic and pervasive historical process whereby the highest values of culture and founding assumptions of philosophical thought prevented the further flourishing of life. Therefore, he thought nihilism had to be encountered and experienced on many, often opposing, fronts to be fully consumed and left behind. Crossword is a short story cycle consisting of five short stories set in Seattle, Washington, that revolve around a single character, named Basimah. Her experience with trauma is portrayed through a magical realist mode and explores themes of selfhood, language, art, absence, and presence. These five stories are a representative sample of a larger project which contains twenty-six stories, one for each of the clues to a crossword. Thunderfort is a tabletop roleplaying game (TTRPG) that utilizes both synchronous and asynchronous communication in both its rules and its fictitious setting. This project seeks to provide a unique TTRPG experience that is partially or fully digital, played out via text chatting and digital dice rolling. Such a game is also intended to be enjoyed by players without said players needing to worry about game session scheduling conflicts, since a large part of the game is played via digital, asynchronous communication. Evaluating The Perceived Preparedness Of Pre-Service Music Educators To Teach Students With Disabilities, Emily Jarvis

This study evaluated the perceived preparedness of pre-service music educators to teach students with disabilities based on their university’s curriculum. Ten participants responded to a survey that asked questions on their feelings of preparedness in classroom management, teaching students with disabilities, university education, and personal perspectives. Overall, participants indicated they felt comfortable with teaching students with disabilities, but felt unprepared to teach specific components of disability education based on their program studies alone. Suggestions to improve university programs are based on implementing Universal Design Learning (UDL) practices.

This study uses a case study and historical analysis to examine how descaling art education programs leads to diminishing the roles of artist in society. To demonstrate how support for art programs affects artists’ roles, this study focuses on the Army’s historical use of art programs that engaged artists in documenting history through the eyes of soldiers in both war and peacetime. This case study investigates ways educators assess student artwork while focusing on the assessment criteria of five different instructional approaches in art education. This qualitative inquiry is informed by participant questionnaires and an analysis of participant assessment criteria that teachers implement in their classrooms. My study aims to understand how students’ beliefs and feelings about their racial, ethnic, and cultural identities impact the creation of artwork in the art classroom. This is achieved by examining students' interactions with their teachers in the art classroom through autoethnography and ethnography. This study finds that students express their complex cultural identities through artmaking by incorporating visual culture and lived experiences connected to their families and the cultures they grew up in. This research provides art teachers with practical strategies to design and implement more culturally sustaining art lessons so they can better understand their students’ cultural identities.

In this research, I utilize an ethnographic and autoethnographic methodology to understand such instructional practices that are utilized to support English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and ways that these practices can be implemented into an art curriculum, in addition to an ethnographic and autoethnographic study, examining and reflecting on the impact language has on bicultural students who are placed in programs that support ESOL. As a bicultural adult, I compare my past and present experiences of understanding, supporting, and adapting language for ESOL students to better support their needs in the art classroom.

This article reproduces the Lyrische Suite [no. 1], op. 23, by the Austrian composer Rudolph Süss, with a short introductory commentary. First published in Vienna around 1921, this suite is a fine example of the enthusiasm for the guitar in early twentieth-century Austria and Germany, which resulted in much music that has been overlooked, overshadowed as it was by the emerging Spanish repertoire.
