Court Diversion Program (CDP) seeks to reduce the criminalization and reoffending among people living with mental illness to ensure their community reintegration (Schneider, 2010). The complex nature of achieving this goal calls for a comprehensive strategy, which requires a collaborative effort of legal, health care, and allied professionals including psychotherapists. It examines the politics of rewriting history in Canadian auto/biographic long poems from 1970 to the present, reconsidering historiography as it intersects with life writing, gender, race, and the performance of voice. This paper addresses the historical relationship between journalism and translation. It approaches translation history by considering journalistic translation as found in newspapers published in the Lower Rio Grande Valley (the southernmost, easternmost stretch of the Mexico-US border) during the 19th century. Specifically, the paper will ask whether translation was a tool employed in journalistic activity in the region and, if so, what the role was of translation in such activity. Kirtan (Sanskrit: कीर्तन; IAST: Kīrtana) is a broad term referring to various forms of devotional singing commonly done in South Asian traditions. It is a core practice in the Hindu and Sikh faiths that is becoming increasingly popular around the world among people of all ethnicities. Beyond its expected propagation within Hindu and Sikh diasporas, kirtan is also spreading among members of new religious movements such as ISKCON and the 3HO/Sikh Dharma, who may engage in this practice as part of their daily cultivation. การศึกษาวาทกรรมการต่อสู้เพื่ออำนาจในนวนิยายจีนเรื่อง “สามก๊ก”, พันธกานต์ อัศวโชค

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์มุ่งที่จะศึกษาและวิเคราะห์การต่อสู้เพื่ออำนาจที่ประกอบสร้างขึ้นจากวาทกรรมชนชาติและวาทกรรมชนชั้นตามที่ปรากฏในตัวบทภาษาจีนของนวนิยายเรื่องสามก๊ก โดยใช้แนวทางวาทกรรมวิเคราะห์เชิงวิพากษ์ เพื่อศึกษา กลวิธีทางภาษาที่ใช้ในการประกอบสร้างวาทกรรมทั้งสองชุดนั้น รวมทั้งวิเคราะห์อุดมการณ์ที่สะท้อนผ่านวาทกรรมการต่อสู้เพื่อ อำนาจดังกล่าว ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) ในส่วนของวาทกรรมเกี่ยวกับชนชาติเพื่อรักษาอำนาจรัฐในที่ราบภาคกลางจีนโบราณ ตัวบท ในตอนที่ 87-91 ที่ขงเบ้งนำทัพไปพิชิตแดนใต้เพื่อปราบปรามเบ้งเฮ็กซึ่งแสดงพฤติกรรมกระด้างกระเดื่องต่อจ๊กก๊กได้ผลิตซ้าวาทกรรมที่เรียกว่า 华夷之辨 อันสะท้อนถึงอุดมการณ์ 天下 ที่จัดวางให้ 华夏 อยู่ในสถานะตำแหน่งที่เหนือกว่ากลุ่มชนชาติ อื่นๆ และถูกใช้เป็นเครื่องมือในธำรงรักษาไว้ซึ่งอิทธิพลของอำนาจรัฐในที่ราบภาคกลางจีนโบราณที่มีต่อกลุ่มชนชาติอื่นๆ ที่อยู่ โดยรอบ 2) ในส่วนของวาทกรรมเกี่ยวกับชนชั้นที่มีความแตกต่างทางลำดับชั้นสถานะระหว่างกษัตริย์กับขุนนางและระหว่างบิดา กับบุตรตามหลัก 三纲 นวนิยายสามก๊กได้ผลิตซ้ำการประกอบสร้างวาทกรรมเกี่ยวกับชนชั้นดังกล่าวในประเด็นการส่งมอบและ สืบต่ออำนาจของชนชั้นปกครองภายใต้ระบบ 宗法制 อันสะท้อนถึงความสัมพันธ์ที่มีลำดับชั้นภายในชนชั้นปกครองในสังคม ปิตาธิปไตยจีนโบราณที่มีลัทธิขงจื๊อเป็นอุดมการณ์แห่งรัฐ ซึ่งในที่นี้สามารถแยกออกเป็น 2 กรณีหลักๆ ได้แก่ 1. การสืบทอด ตำแหน่งที่มาจากการช่วงชิงราชบัลลังก์ และ 2. การสืบทอดวงศ์ตระกูลภายใต้ระบบ 宗法制 3) ในส่วนของวาทกรรมเกี่ยวกับ ชนชั้นที่มีความแตกต่างทางลำดับชั้นสถานะระหว่างสามีกับภรรยา (หรือระหว่างผู้ชายกับผู้หญิงในภาพรวม) ตามหลัก 三纲 นวนิยายสามก๊กได้ผลิตซ้ำชุดความคิด 男尊女卑 ในการประกอบสร้างวาทกรรมเกี่ยวกับชนชั้นดังกล่าวในประเด็นภาพแทน ผู้หญิงในสังคมศักดินาของจีนที่มีลัทธิขงจื๊อเป็นอุดมการณ์แห่งรัฐที่สะท้อนผ่านตัวละครหญิงซึ่งปรากฏอยู่บ้างในบางตัวบท ของนวนิยาย และถูกใช้เป็นเครื่องมือในการรักษาลำดับชั้นสถานะของผู้ชายหรือสามีที่อยู่เหนือกว่าผู้หญิงหรือภรรยา ซึ่งในที่นี้ สามารถแยกออกเป็น 2 กรณีหลักๆ เช่นกัน ได้แก่ 1. การประกอบสร้างวาทกรรมเกี่ยวกับตัวละครหญิงที่เป็นภาพแทนผู้หญิงที่ไม่ ถูกผูกมัดด้วยหลักคำสอนของลัทธิขงจื๊อ และ 2. การประกอบสร้างวาทกรรมเกี่ยวกับตัวละครหญิงที่เป็นภาพแทนผู้หญิงตาม หลักคำสอนของลัทธิขงจื๊อ สำหรับกลวิธีทางภาษาที่ใช้ประกอบสร้างวาทกรรมการต่อสู้เพื่ออำนาจในประเด็นต่างๆ ดังกล่าว ข้างต้น พบว่ามีการใช้กลวิธีทางภาษาที่หลากหลาย เช่น การเลือกใช้คำศัพท์ การกล่าวอ้าง การเล่าเรื่อง การใช้ความเปรียบ อุปมา อุปลักษณ์ นามนัย โวหารเกินจริง เป็นต้น

This research aims to analyze the order and factors influencing the sequence of multiple attributives in Chinese noun phrases, to aid Thai learners of Chinese in understanding and accurately using multiple attributives. Five types of words can modify the head noun: nouns, pronouns, number + quantifier combinations, adjectives and classifiers, and verbs. The frequency of multiple attributives is inversely proportional to the number of attributive items, meaning that two-item attributives are used most frequently, while five-item attributives are the least common. วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาตัวละครเอกชายในงานเขียนของมุระกะมิ ฮะรุกิ ในช่วง ค.ศ.1979-2017 และบริบททางสังคมของญี่ปุ่นในช่วงเวลาดังกล่าว โดยวิเคราะห์ผ่านความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างตัวละครเอกชายกับตัวละครอื่นๆในเรื่อง ซึ่งจะแสดงให้เห็นลักษณะการปฏิสัมพันธ์ระหว่างตัวละครเอกชายกับสังคม รวมทั้งสะท้อนทัศนคติของผู้เขียนที่มีต่อสังคมภายใต้บริบทสังคมญี่ปุ่นร่วมสมัย โดยสามารถแบ่งลักษณะของตัวละครเอกชายได้ตามช่วงเวลาการประพันธ์ผลงานของมุระกะมิ ฮะรุกิ ได้เป็น 3 ช่วง ดังนี้ งานเขียนในช่วงแรก (ค.ศ. 1979-1986) ตัวละครเอกชายมีการรับมือและจัดการกับปัญหาด้านความสัมพันธ์กับคนรอบข้างด้วยวิธียอมรับจนนิ่งเฉย หลีกหนี หรือกีดกัน ซึ่งล้วนสะท้อนให้เห็นลักษณะของตัวละครเอกชายที่มีความโดดเดี่ยวและแปลกแยกจากสังคม ไม่สอดคล้องกับความเป็นชายกระแสหลักที่สังคมคาดหวัง อันเป็นผลมาจากสภาพสังคมญี่ปุ่นในช่วงฟื้นฟูประเทศภายหลังการพ่ายแพ้สงครามโลกครั้งที่ 2 รวมทั้งอิทธิพลจากประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกาและทวีปยุโรป เกิดการปะทะสังสรรค์กันของหลากหลายแนวคิดและอุดมการณ์ ทั้งความเป็นปัจเจกนิยม ความเป็นเสรีนิยมแบบบุปผาชนหรือฮิปปี้ ตลอดจนอุดมการณ์ทุนนิยมที่กลายเป็นกระแสหลักที่กาหนดรูปแบบและวิถีชีวิตของผู้คน งานเขียนในช่วงที่สอง (ค.ศ. 1987-1999) ตัวละครเอกชายดาเนินชีวิตท่ามกลางค่านิยมดั้งเดิมของญี่ปุ่นกับความเป็นสมัยใหม่แบบตะวันตกได้ดูกลมกลืนมากขึ้น นับตั้งแต่ลัทธิทุนนิยมที่ไหลบ่าเข้าสู่ประเทศญี่ปุ่นตั้งแต่ช่วงทศวรรษที่1950 จนกระทั่งยุค “ทศวรรษที่สูญหาย” ภายหลังปรากฏการณ์ฟองสบู่แตกในช่วงครึ่งหลังทศวรรษที่1990 พัฒนาการของตัวละครเอกชายในช่วงนี้สะท้อนผ่านบทบาท “พ่อ” และความต้องการเป็นพ่อ ซึ่งเผยให้เห็นการยอมรับและปรับตัวเข้าสู่สังคม ในขณะเดียวกันก็สะท้อนความเป็นชายแบบใหม่ที่เป็นขั้วตรงข้ามกับปิตาธิปไตยแบบดั้งเดิม ทั้งนี้อาจเพื่อนำเสนอทางออกให้แก่สังคมที่เต็มไปด้วยปัญหาที่ฝังรากลึกอยู่ในสังคมญี่ปุ่น งานเขียนในช่วงที่สาม(ค.ศ. 2000-2017) ภายใต้บริบทสังคมในยุคทศวรรษที่สูญหายที่เริ่มตั้งแต่ทศวรรษที่1990 สังคมญี่ปุ่นยังคงอยู่ในสภาวะสูญหายอยู่จนกระทั่งปัจจุบัน ตลอดจนเหตุการณ์ภัยพิบัติแผ่นดินไหวครั้งใหญ่ที่เกิดขึ้นในปีค.ศ.2013 ประกอบกับการที่มุระกะมิเติบโตขึ้น ทำให้เขาเริ่มหันกลับมามีพันธกิจต่อสังคมญี่ปุ่น โดยการนาเสนอตัวละครเอกชายที่ละทิ้งความเป็นปัจเจก หันกลับมาให้คุณค่ากับการรวมกลุ่ม อันเป็นคุณค่าดั้งเดิมของมนุษย์ หากมนุษย์ร่วมมือช่วยเหลือกันและกันสังคมจะเปลี่ยนแปลงไปในทิศทางที่ดีขึ้น

This paper is based on my personal experience of war and peace in Bosnia. The basic notion is that it is easier to start a war than to stop it. Thus, postwar recovery or peacebuilding is not easy. But thanks to open-minded people who have been all along against a mythical populism that caused the bloody war against Bosnia and its autochthon people, the peace, although unjust, was reached after all. The study aims to combine the data from three different but mutually inspired surveys of theologians about attitudes and feelings of Christians towards the so-called refugee crisis in Europe in 2015. The study combines the data from surveys in German speaking countries and from Czechia and Slovakia and focuses on attitudes (defense, skepticism, welcome) and feelings (angry, worry, hope). Topics like authoritarianism or attending Sunday services show the connections between practicing of Christian faith and readiness to receive or reject refugees. “War shall not be according to God's will." This simple sentence was agreed upon by the World Council of Churches (WCC) when it was founded in 1948. The start of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine on February 24, 2022, broke with this principle of the Ecumenical Movement. We were sure that the churches of all confessions, especially our own church, the Evangelische Kirche in Deutschland (EKD) and all other member churches of the WCC, would immediately and unanimously position themselves against the Russian war of aggression. But the clear word, which we had hoped for, did not come.

This paper seeks to answer the question of why, in the 21st century, Jews from the largest Jewish community in Slovakia have increasingly begun to prefer cremation over traditional Jewish burial. Importantly, Judaism views the act of cremation as a repudiation of faith in the afterlife, which incurs punishment in the form of exclusion from the resurrection after the prophesied coming of the Messiah. There is also a historical case against cremation, based on the Nazis’ burning of the bodies of murdered concentration camp inmates. The focus of this case study is the Faculty of Theology “Matthias Flacius Illyricus” (Teološki fakultet “Matija Vlačić Ilirik” – TFMVI) in Zagreb, founded by two minority religious communities: the Lutheran Church and the Baptist Union. The authors’ premise is that by examining over forty years of the institution’s existence, prominent trends and attitudes can be identified that continue to shape the interaction between churches and the state within Croatian society, where the Roman Catholic Church represents the overwhelming majority.
