成語大多起源於古代，是構成漢語詞彙體系中重要的一環。至今，我們還經常利用他們來行文造句。雖然大部分成語只是由四字形式，但其結構凝固、文字精煉、概括性強的獨特性，使成語具備歷久不衰的生命力。

相信不少人對成語的今義都很熟悉，但對於個別成語的出處、本義、甚至其語義的演變過程及原因，很多人只是一知半解。故此，本文以《詩經》成語的演變為題目，從歷時性的角度探析成語從雛形發展至今的意義轉變，全面地掌握成語的意義，有助我們更恰當地運用成語。

《詩經》是中國文學發展史上最早出現的詩集。從內容的角度來看，詩歌題材豐富，從各方面反映周代社會的生活面貌。從語言的角度來看，詩歌文字精煉優美，表現出上古詩歌活潑生動的一面。在漢語詞彙系統中，不少成語就是源自《詩經》，故此本文將以《詩經》為研究對象。

任何一種語言的發展都有其背後的原因，因此本文也會嘗試分析成語意義的演變與社會、心理、和語言自身的關係。

被神化的異僧 : 從《濟公全傳》分析濟公形象及其背後意蘊, Wan Ting Wong

濟公是中國家傳戶曉的人物，說起濟公，大多人的第一印象都是瘋瘋癲癲的。他衣著破舊、行為反常、酒肉不離身，是一個不守佛門戒律的和尚。然而，這位不受佛門認可的和尚卻在凡間混得如魚得水，不少高官顯貴都尊稱他一聲「聖僧」，而百姓更是視他如「活佛」。濟公看似是一個普通的和尚，但他卻擁有神通、仙藥，破爛的衣衫是降魔伏妖的神器。濟公身上充滿神秘色彩，亦具有極大的研究空間。本文以清代郭小亭《濟公全傳》（全稱《評演濟公傳》）為研究重心，分析濟公在作品中的不同形象，及與社會、佛教的關係。

本論文主要分為四部分：第一章為導言。第二章分析濟公的文本形象及其表達的社會意義，當中他的形象將會以丐、俠、藥、癲、聖五方面逐一剖析。第三章闡釋濟公和傳統佛教、民間宗教的關係。第四章則為全文總結。

淺論《儒林外史》中的邊緣人物與清代社會, Wai Ying Tang

本文以《儒林外史》中的邊緣人物為題，結合文獻資料分析該類人物如何影響書中的情節內容和思想價值，同時探討清代社會制度和風氣如何令書中角色成為邊緣人物。本文共六章，第一章為全文緒論，略述現時著作對《儒林外史》的人物分析。第二章從中外文獻了解邊緣人定義，並把《儒林外史》中的人物按此定義歸納分類。第三章分析當時在社會底層掙扎求存的騙子和妓女角色。第四章探討從正面下滑到邊緣的圓型人物，以及當中反映的時代風氣。第五章則透過書中自我邊緣的人物分析吳敬梓本人的思想價值。第六章則為全文總結。

粵東閩語合口介音的保留及其與相鄰方言點的比較, Yuen Yan Hui

過往一直有不少音韻研究指出合口介音的消失是漢語方言發展的普遍現象，屬東南方言的閩語亦是其中一例，可惜閩系方言的開合口演變情況鮮為人所提及。本文把前人探討北方方言合口音消失的調查方法用到閩語裡，比較閩方言中不同分支對合口音的保留情況。閩語主要可分為四個支流，是為閩東、閩北、閩南以及粵東閩語。本文在各個分支中選取了代表地區，前三個分支的代表方言點分別為建甌、福州和廈門。而由於粵東閩語的內部差異是本文的討論重點，故是次調查共選取了三個在今音上有口音差異的地區以便比較分析，這些地區為汕頭、揭陽、潮陽和海豐。漢語方言合口音消失較多表現在的果攝、蟹攝、止攝、山攝、臻攝、宕攝和曾攝，本文從當中的六攝中選取了合共十個韻部中的例字，對閩東、閩北及閩南的代表地區今音做了例字記音表，並比較分析記音結果。記音結果發現，閩東地區對合口音的保留較其他地區的閩語齊全。此外，我們從是次記音亦看見一些閩方言的語音特色。

又，粵東閩語的韻母存在很多的內部差異，當中包括了數個合口介音的韻母。本文將分析及闡述這些合口韻的在韻腹及韻尾的差異，嘗試探討粵東閩語的存古情況。

民族想像、死亡與性：淺析黎紫書小說〈州府紀略〉與〈國北邊陲〉的民族想像書寫, Yun Han Koo

本文旨在分析黎紫書的馬華民族歷史小說〈州府紀略〉和〈國北邊陲〉中其最為人津津樂道的「死亡」及「性」這兩個意象。筆者認為，在馬華離散文學的語境中，〈州府紀略〉和〈國北邊陲〉裏的「死亡」和「性」具有一致的象徵意義：前者象徵馬華民族身份及記憶在兩代之間的斷裂，而後者則象徵民族身份及想像出於求生本能而產生的轉化與救贖。

筆者認為，這兩部小說裏的「死亡」象徵民族及其身份想像的消亡，而這種消失亡使兩代之間的民族身份和歷史意識出現斷裂。〈州府紀略〉裏的敘事者「我」和死了的主角譚燕梅的距離，象徵意義上即為「我」和那個年代的馬共想像及民族身份想像的距離；「死亡」導致上一代的馬共情結無以延續，下一代亦無法繼承馬共認同。〈國北邊陲〉裏家族的詛咒使「你」滿懷「香火不可斷」的民族情義。兩部小說都指涉「死亡」造成（和即將造成）的民族歷史斷裂帶來的迫切和滄桑。

「性」隱喻小說主人公被迫直面自身文化身份認同與其他文化之間的關係，直至讓步，以求生存。〈州府紀略〉裏，譚燕梅與馬共黨員劉遠聞的性關係，象徵著馬華族裔尋求中國性的身份認同，並最後通過「性」的儀式和關係來獲得實現。在〈國北邊陲〉裏，「性」是放棄狹隘的國族使命，與馬來西亞本土認同相結合的象徵；如果大馬華人必須有「根」，那麼東卡阿里就是那個「根」，讓他們活下來的、真實存在的「根」。

成長與傳承 : 論明代《鍾馗全傳》, Kwun Lok Liu

鍾馗的故事始見於唐代，其身影遍布多個朝代，包括唐、宋、明及清，更流傳至今。鍾馗的故事經歷多個朝代，被增補刪減，而較為完整的有：明代的《慶豐年五鬼鬧鍾馗》，明代萬曆年間（1573年至1620年） 所著的《鍾馗全傳》及較為人熟悉的清代《斬鬼傳》。鍾馗的故事歷久不衰，研究鍾馗的論文亦多不勝數，但這些論文集中於探討《慶豐年五鬼鬧鍾馗》及《斬鬼傳》兩個文本為主，較少研究《鍾馗全傳》這本書，這本書亦是第一本由鍾馗出生，成長，歷險，完整記載的章回小說。而論文研究主要分析鍾馗由來，文本流變，唐明歷史背景，或宗教信仰，卻未有從成長小說角度分析，以及《鍾馗全傳》對於鍾馗文本流變的價值及重要性等方面探討，本文借用成長型小說來探討明代《鍾馗全傳》的價值。

本文分成四大部分。第一部分描述鍾馗故事的版本及文本的流變。第二部分定義成長式小說，並以此觀念分析明代《鍾馗全傳》。第三部分，從諷刺性，人性化，主題三方面，探討《鍾馗全傳》如何做到開創先河及承上啟下。第四部分，總結全文，並於附錄收錄鍾馗文本比較、鍾馗圖像，以及文化地位和習俗。

蘇童的民國題材小說研究 : 虛構的歷史性故事以《米》、《罌粟之家》為例, Yin Yi Cheung

本論文嘗試以作家蘇童的《米》和《罌粟之家》兩篇作品分析富有江南色彩並虛構於民國時期的作品特色。第一章為緒論，會先訂立研究範圍，然後定義「慾望」一詞，同時略述前人的研究成果。第二章會著重討論新歷史小說的特徵，並分析作者主要的敘事特色。第三章則探究蘇童的語言藝術，與江南之綺靡風光作連接，深入分析與江南有關的意象運用。第四章將會討論兩篇作品中主要的人物形象、各人物之間複雜的關係和他們命運背後的含義。第五章會略為評論蘇童寫作的局限。第六章會為全文作個小總結。

蕭紅《生死場》與《呼蘭河傳》的抗日主題, Yat Long Wong

「我知道，我還是免不了想，我算甚麼呢？屈辱算甚麼呢？災難算甚麼呢？甚至死算甚麼呢？我不明白，我究竟是一個人還是兩個；是這樣想的是了呢？還是那樣想的是。不錯，只要飛，但同時覺得……我會掉下來。」

坎坷的命運，短暫的創作生涯，「天空是低的，羽翼是稀薄的」。即使有著諸多限制，有「文壇洛神」美譽的蕭紅仍然寫出了不少為人稱道的作品，包括兩部傳世經典長篇小說：《生死場》與《呼蘭河傳》。夏志清先生坦言他沒有將這兩部名篇納入《中國現代小說史》是「最不可寬恕的疏忽」。

歷來關於《生死場》的抗日主題，一直存在爭論。歷代研究者致力從不同方面闡釋《生死場》的主題，為蕭紅的創作源由提供了多個解讀方式。前人研究多從理論出發，少以文本為綱，尚有待補漏之處。故本文旨在深入文本，從故事中人物的轉變分析《生死場》的抗日主題，並探討《生死場》與《呼蘭河傳》主題的關係。

本文可大致分為三部分，第一部分將回歸文本，梳理《生死場》中的人物在抗日前後的轉變；第二部分則以第一部分的內容為綱，審視《生死場》的抗日主題，並分析抗日情節在小說中所起的作用；第三部分則把《生死場》與《呼蘭河傳》連繫起來，探討蕭紅在《呼蘭河傳》中未有繼承在《生死場》中的抗日情節的原因。

論張愛玲與白先勇小說的失婚女性：以〈傾城之戀〉、〈金鎖記〉、〈玉卿嫂〉及〈金大奶奶〉為例, Lok Tung Choi

白先勇與張愛玲皆是深受兩岸三地所愛戴且關注的作家，兩人有不錯相似之處︰中西兼家；承襲《紅》學；貴族之後等等。因此，王德威稱白先勇為六十年代私淑張愛玲最有成就者亦無可厚非，及後學界對張愛玲與白先勇的對讀研究更是絡絡不絕。張愛玲與白先勇小說的女性形象均相當突出，但卻鮮有研究針對兩人作品的互文性。

失婚女性一直為中國現代文學的重點書寫對象， 如魯迅的〈祝福〉、郁達夫的〈遲桂花〉及許地山的〈商人婦〉等。可是大部份作家筆下的失婚女性和張愛玲與白先勇所寫的卻有所不同。

本文將著重研究張愛玲的〈傾城之戀〉、〈金鎖記〉及白先勇的〈玉卿嫂〉、〈金大奶奶〉中的失婚女性，將其故事結構有系統地拆解、對比，並尋找其中同中之異。其次，將二人的作品放在中國現代文學史的版圖中，尋找與其他的作品，以把二人的作品更清晰地定位。最後，在分析故事結構的過程中，輔以作家的散文作文本互涉，從而尋找張愛玲與白先勇的作品中找出其互文關係。

「咔嚓」，擬聲詞，現代人通常認為是按下相機快門剎那的聲音，在文學上或漢語詞典中，卻是代表「物體斷裂的聲音」 。

滂沱大雨的時代，來自香港不同院校的一群大學生，希望通過加入《聯校誌》的編輯委員會，紀錄時代的真相。女主角阿因力求公義，本應與男主角阿熙一同追尋理想，卻不敵現實逼迫。面對社會、家庭、愛情、夢想與各種責任的拉扯，無法兩全其美的時代裡，她必須作出抉擇。當每人都身不由己，堅持是否代表忠於自己？妥協又是否等於背棄理想？

「咔嚓」聲響，幾位大學生把光景和美好留住了，還是讓理想和關係崩裂了？

《咔嚓》是以香港雨傘革命起為時代背景的劇本創作，一方面透過文學展現戲劇性及舞台呈現的多個可能性，另一方面藉由人物的對白及處境探討香港年青人面臨的矛盾及掙扎。《咔嚓》的主題不止政治，亦談及家庭倫理、社會公義、平權、貧窮等問題，希望在創作文學作品的同時反思自我，並喚起觀者對此等議題的關注。

歧路香港：論董啟章《地圖集》中的時間敘事策略, Yuk Heng Choi

在香港當代文學書寫的發展中，董啟章開啟了一種別於同代作家的方法來敘說城市與歷史。本文旨在探悉董啟章小說中的時間敘事策略，思考作家如何借助時間書寫，表達出一種語言／城市的想像方式，而時間書寫又如何在哲學意涵、城市歷史、文化身份、以及其小說創作中體現出意義。第一部分先勾勒過去研究者對董啟章小說主題和敘事上的討論，並重新留意他前期作品如何以時間為敘事的重要元素，嘗試探索香港另一種身份認同的途徑。

第二部分剖析波赫士（Jorge Luis Borges）與卡爾維諾（Italo Calvino）的小說在時間敘事上的探討，前者開啟了「分枝時間」的小說時空概念，後者開拓了這種藝術時間並視之為城市隱喻，他們共同提供了讓我們去閱讀《地圖集》的另一種策略和面向。

第三部分詳細探討《地圖集》的其中四個篇章，前半部分連結起波赫士和卡爾維諾的小說時空觀，討論董啟章如何在香港語境下借虛構對地圖時間符號的論述，展現地圖／小說／城市的虛構性，以及它們與權力的互動關係；後半部分進一步提問董啟章這種「可能時間」的書寫意義，在於他要發展出一套新的語言系統，來挑戰固有的、官方或民間的香港敘述和書寫，以此開拓對歷史、城市以及文化身份的想像空間。

水族, Hiu Tung Chan

是次指導論文為小說創作，名為《水族》。都巿裡的魚，終其一生都只能活在魚缸，無法回到大海，但魚缸有大有小，缸內景色也不盡相同。魚兒居住在哪一個缸，其一在於命運，其二在於選擇。只要轉換環境之於魚兒是非做不可的事，勇敢在水中躍起，離開當下的水域，就有脫困的可能。

故事關於主角陳啟軒養了一條企圖跳缸的花羅漢，從魚的掙扎之上看到自身的厄困，亦因為這一尾魚結織了金魚鋪老闆溫嘉裕。溫嘉裕的自由生活與自己的朝九晚十一成了極大的對比，亦從對方的斜杠生活得知工作並非只有一種可能，最後拾回選擇工作的決定權，不再被社會壓逼左右生活的形狀。

本文旨在透過短篇小說創作，藉陳啟軒一角點出香港當下「九十後」所面對的困難，以及脫困的其中一種可能性，提示「九十後」尚有選擇的權利，亦藉溫嘉裕一角，帶讀者進入水族行業與獨立音樂圈子這兩種在香港頗為邊緣的文化，記錄二零一八年的當下，此兩個行業的狀態及形象。最後亦藉二人曖昧而明朗的關係，為香港尚未真正正名的同志留下期昐。

Throughout the second half of the nineteenth century, arrangements of Irish airs were popularly performed in Victorian drawing rooms and concert venues in both London and Dublin, the most notable publications being Thomas Moore’s collections of Irish Melodies with harmonisations by John Stephenson. Performances of Irish ballads remained popular with English audiences but the publication of Stanford’s song collection An Irish Idyll in Six Miniatures in 1901 by Boosey and Hawkes in London marks a shift to a different type of Irish song. Congress passed the Marihuana Tax Act on August 2, 1937, which officially made it illegal to handle any form of Cannabis sativa L. without adhering to mandatory taxes and registration forms. The American cultivation of industrial hemp (fibrous, non-psychoactive C. sativa L.), became non-existent by 1958 due to the strict penalties associated with the 1937 Tax Act. The Church of England in the Virginia colony is an institution which has been much overlooked in historiography. Traditionally, historians have focused upon the weakness of the church, with its lack of a complete hierarchy and dearth of ministers. These weaknesses, combined with some of the more unsavory attitudes and actions of early colonists, have led many scholars to postulate that religion did not play much of a role in the Virginia colony. This thesis explores three different forms of narrative in order to understand how and why craft beverage industries, specifically beer and whiskey, have been framed as masculine spaces. This thesis examines how the bodies of kings in medieval Irish, Anglo-Saxon, and Norse literature demonstrate sacral kingship, a theory which links the prosperity of a people to the strength of the king’s relationship with the divine. I argue that the practice of collecting the heads of English kings as relics, particularly the Northumbrian warrior-kings Edwin and Oswald, is due to an understanding of the king's bodies as a source of power and "luck." This master's thesis explores university students’ perceptions toward bilingualism and foreign language teaching in two bilingual, European communities—Fribourg, Switzerland, and Barcelona, Spain—and at the University of Mississippi in monolingual-dominant Oxford, Mississippi. This research was conducted over a period of about nine months and includes both qualitative and quantitative data: twenty-four interviews as well as three online questionnaires which were made available in the following five languages: French, German, Catalan, Castilian Spanish, and English. A Teleosemantic Theory Of The Deep-Unconscious: A Response To John R. Searle's Account Of The Unconscious, Kelly Adkins

In mind, John R. Searle dismisses the deep-unconscious on the grounds that it neither satisfies the connection principle nor does it exhibit intentionality. I argue against Searle's account of the unconscious. My initial reason for rejecting Searle's account is that he sacrifices the theoretical virof explanatory power for the sake of ontological simplicity. The reason the unconscious mind gained theoretical sustenance in the first place was to understand and explain various aspects of human behavior that consciousness cannot account for, so any good theory of the unconscious ought to fill this explanatory gap. The Need To Equip Lutheran Congregations In Mission For Christ Church Planters For Spiritual Warfare, David John Heinrich

The goal of this research project was to address the need for spiritual warfare training and equipping for church planters to be more efficient in mission within the Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC) movement. The researcher designed a sequential mixed method approach to this research with LCMC church planters. The research findings demonstrated that church planters were well educated but 96 percent did not receive any formal spiritual warfare training and equipping in seminary or Bible school; the spiritual warfare training environment preferred was hands-on activation workshops.

This article analyzes the rates of women leaders in conservative, green and right-wing parties in Western Europe. The genders of parliamentary leaders, founders and party leaders of these parties are examined to determine if women are over represented or under represented as political leaders in Western Europe.
