Psychopathy, Attitudinal Beliefs, And White Collar Crime, James V. Ray
USF Tampa Graduate Theses and Dissertations
Psychopathy has become a highly researched personality disorder in order to better understand criminal and violent behavior (Hare, 1993). Measures of psychopathy have proven to be useful tools in predicting outcomes of institutionalized populations by predicting future dangerousness (Hare, 1999). While several experts in the field of psychopathy allude to the idea of the successful psychopath and their presence in the corporate world (Hare, 1993; Babiak & Hare, 2006), very little research has been done in this area. The current study builds upon the small amount of empirical research by testing hypotheses regarding the relationship between psychopathic personality traits and …

Publications from the Center for Women in Politics and Public Policy
The Pipeline to Public Service Initiative asked the McCormack Graduate School’s Center for Women in Politics & Public Policy at the University of Massachusetts Boston to ascertain the racial diversity in state and local government. The project had the following three goals:
--To identify the race (and gender) of those holding top-level positions filled through gubernatorial appointments, e.g., secretaries, commissioners, directors, deputy commissioners/directors, and undersecretaries, in the Commonwealth’s executive offices and major departments.

Culture War: The Battle For Portland's Lair Hill Neighborhood, 1968, James Tucker Jackson
Dissertations and Theses
The youth explosion of the mid-1960s that spawned the hippie counterculture also bred fear among older Americans, many of whom viewed the cultural dissenters as immoral, deviant, and criminal. Some in the ranks of government shared this view and felt duty-bound to oppose the counterculture. This thesis examines one example of a municipal government and the series of policies it pursued to address the threat of a "hippie invasion" into the Lair Hill neighborhood in Portland, Oregon in 1968. The central question will be to determine whether these policies were enacted in pursuit of the stated goals of improved public …

Guest Recitals
A chamber music theatre work produced by The Core Ensemble, text by Kim Hines.
"Ain't I a Woman honors four African-American women of remarkable achievement and invincible character. The text draws attention to specific choices and decisions in their lives demonstrating how each overcame personal or political challenges and was able to achieve astonishing goals living in an American society often unfriendly to social tolerance and acceptance. The musical score that unifies the pieces is drawn from the heartfelt spirituals and blues of the Deep South, the urban vitality of the Jazz Age, as well as contemporary concert …
