Artificial Intelligence And Techno-Securitization In Border Control: A Philosophical Appraisal, Mohammad Rubaiyat Rahman

The study appraises the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and smart technologies in border control in the context of Philosophy of Immigration. Focusing on the United States-Mexico border region, the AI role is philosophically evaluated as one of the factors of algorithmic oppression on borderland gender and ecology. My study aims to orient philosophical approaches regarding smart border related AI technologies research to the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) programs.

Our class was studying the use of emojis across different platforms and wanted to explore how stories using emojis could impact young readers. Here, we try to translate the story of Skyler into emoji, providing translations along the way. We replace words completely with emoji, represent phrases with a few emoji, and use additional emoji to make sense of the content, including punctuation. In this book, we explore the character of Skyler, who is a picky eater. But they learn to eat the nutritious food that is good for them. In the end, they even get a reward!

In the oral history interview of Sr. Gabriella Lohan, she discusses San Antonio’s social and political history, as well as the role COPS / Metro Alliance has played in reaching marginalized communities across the city. Over time, COPS / Metro has adapted to new issues like education and fair banking, reflecting changing community needs while staying true to its core mission of empowering citizens and promoting democracy. Throughout the interview, Sr. Lohan explored the role her faith has played throughout her life’s work in social justice.
