In this art lesson for upper elementary students, we study the art of Jeffrey Gibson from the Zuckerman Museum of Art exhibition Jeffrey Gibson: They Teach Love, from the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundations and analyze his contemporary post-modern artistic contributions alongside contemporary traditional Native American bead weaving and historical Native American bead weaving. We consider how to make visual patterns from aspects of our cultural identity and how how to make a bead weaving art project in the elementary art classroom. This lesson plan pairs Georgia Visual Art standards with third grade Social Studies standards.

Issue 4 of the Clark Student Voices Literary Magazine, published in the Fall 2024 semester. The theme of the issue is 'Paranoia'. A semesterly publication curated by Clark University students, CSVLM creates space for students to share their creative writing including poetry, prose, and artwork. Organizing and distributing Clark Student Literary Voices builds community by uniting the many creative students on the Clark campus.

Consisting of fifty-one prints on loan from the Sarah Campbell Blaffer Foundation, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, this exhibition examines how artists depicted themselves and their profession from the sixteenth to the nineteenth centuries. The show includes artists such as Rembrandt van Rijn, Salvator Rosa, William Hogarth, Claude Lorrian, and Francisco Goya, among others. Created during a period when the social status of artists was in flux, the prints represent both artists’ lives and work, and the roles that both artists and the arts held in society. Inside Indochina: Vietnam's National Identity Through French Historical Blockbusters, Chi Q. Pham '25

Cinema has been credited for contributing to the understanding of one's nation. In the case of the former French Indochina, despite being a well studied historical subject, few movies have been made about it, even fewer have taken place within those geographical borders. This paper will uncover the Vietnamese government’s intervention in portraying the Indochina state on Western screens, and what their cinematic vision of the colonial French-Indochina chapter in their history might look like. In 1992, three French blockbusters, Indochine, L’Amant, and Dien Bien Phu, were released and concurrently provided artistic lenses into the former colonial state. This trio …
