The present study examines the impact of Social Networking Sites on college students of Regional Institute of Paramedical and Nursing (RIPANS), Aizawl. The study focused on the SNSs usage on academic performance, both positive and negative influence, the purpose and problem faced by the students in using SNSs. 150 well-structured questionnaires were distributed to the randomly selected students of RIPANS to find out the impact of using SNSs for their academic performance, out of which 146 students have responded. The collected data is further analyzed and presented in tables followed by charts with interpretation. The findings of the study show …

An Examination Of The Relationship Between Academic Entitlement And Education Financing Among Undergraduate Students, Nicola Ifill-Fraser

Academic entitlement among students is a growing problem and concern for universities. Students with a sense of entitlement towards their education believe that positive academic outcomes are owed to them and should be awarded, not based on mastery of educational content, but on non-academic aspects of education, such as attending class, participating in class, or paying tuition fees. Additionally, academically entitled students have unrealistic expectations about the role of instructors and demanding attitudes and behaviors toward faculty. The factors precipitating these actions and behaviors appear to be multi-facted and remain unclear. To add to the growing body of literature on …

The purpose of the study was to collect information about teaching music reading to piano students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and to determine best teaching practices that may be implemented into existing curricula. The study involved interviewing six professionals who are nationally recognized for successfully teaching piano to students with ASD and analyzing the interviews to learn their procedures for teaching music reading to this population.
The interviews contain information concerning the backgrounds of the individuals being interviewed, the demographic backgrounds of students being taught, and the pedagogical process, instructional materials and technology used for teaching music reading in lessons. …

The purpose of this project was to examine a university health clinic’s influenza vaccination program in a suburban city in a western U.S. state, and to explore the effects of partnering with a local pharmacy to overcome billing issues. A program evaluation was conducted to identify the potential barrier of cost for students. The health clinic was not set up to bill private health insurance for students; therefore, if students wanted to get a flu shot, they had to pay out of pocket for it. Challenges Associated With Accessing And Utilizing Library Electronic Information Resources By Economics Education Students’ In South East, Nigeria, Yunisa Abdulrahman, Joseph Onuoha

This study focused on ascertaining the challenges associated with accessing and utilizing library e-resources by Economics Education students’ in South East NigeriaThe study adopted a descriptive survey research design. Samples were drawn using a purposive sampling technique in selecting four hundred and ninety-two (492) Economics Education students’ from the study area. Data was collected using a validated 4-point Likert rated questionnaire for challenges associated with accessing and utilizing library e-resources (QCAUER) instrument with a reliability coefficient of 0.72. The study was conducted to analyze Issues and Challenges in Accessing and Utilization of Information Resources by students of Federal University Agriculture Abeokuta. Four research objectives guided the study. 306 copies of questionnaire were administered to the respondents in the university and in response only 217 were received from the student’s community. Simply a stratified random sampling technique was employed for the study due to the largeness of the population.
