Using the Science Citation Index-Expanded of the Web of Science Core Collection, we analyzed global saffron research literature published between 1991 and 2017. The variables examined were research performance of nations, institutions, and authors. The study noted that the distribution of author keywords, citations, and publication patterns of saffron related articles to ascertain the research inclinations. The highly cited articles and author keyword analysis showed that the chemical and biochemical qualities of saffron were of key interest for the researchers.

A comparison is made with peer universities running under the same government to know King Edward Medical University’s research standing at provincial and country level. This study examined faculty views and perceptions of the library and information science (LIS) programs of the six member nations of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in enhancing academic quality using formal assessment. Two focus groups were held in Kuwait and Muscat. In each focus group, nine participants discussed opportunities, practices, possibilities, and mechanics of assessment and assessment-based systems. It was found that these schools were active in assessment, as CILIP conducted extensive assessment in two programs, resulting in accreditation. The e-journal facility introduced in Burdwan University for its scholars is known as INFLIBNET which is under the e-sodhsindhu consortium. INFLIBNET e-journal provides with high quality content among University libraries. This study shows the popularity of e-journal with the help of INFISTATS in the optional usage period during 2015-2019. JSTOR had the maximum usage (26.8%) of total download over the period 2015-2019. 7 of the top listed e-journals had the highest percentage of use (86.33%) proving that the popularity of e-journals is in growing use in the University of Burdwan.

This study investigated the influence of ownership structure and leadership styles on turnover intention of Library and Information Science (LIS) Professionals in private universities in Osun State, Nigeria. A survey on collection development for graphic novels was sent to 632 collection development librarians and also placed on the Association for Library Collections and Technical Services listserv. Once 200 responses had been received analysis of results began. Findings indicate that while all libraries reported possessing at least some graphic novels and most reported having what they would call a “graphic novel collection,” the medium is still quite uncommon when compared to existing library collections, comprising less than 1% of all books in academic libraries.
