The Functional Role Of Rna Binding Protein Rbms3 As A Tumor Promoter In Triple-Negative Breast Cancer Cells, Yuting Zhou

RBMS3 belongs to the family of c-myc gene single-strand binding proteins (MSSPs) that play important roles in transcriptional regulation. Here, we show that RBMS3 functions as a tumor promoter in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), a highly aggressive BC subtype. Analysis of RBMS3 expression shows that RBMS3 is upregulated at both mRNA and protein levels in TNBC cells. Functionally, overexpression of RBMS3 increases cell migration, invasion and cancer stem cell (CSC) behaviors. Moreover, RBMS3 induces expression of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and CSC markers. Conversely, loss of RBMS3 in TNBC BT549 cells inhibits cell proliferation, migration and mesenchymal phenotype. Correlation analysis shows …

The ketogenic diet is commonly used to control epilepsy, especially in cases when medications cannot. The diet typically consists of high fat, low carb, and adequate protein and produces a metabolite called acetoacetate. Seizure activity is characterized by glutamate excitotoxicity and therefore glutamate regulation is a point of research for control of these disorders. Acetoacetate is heavily implicated as the primary molecule responsible for decreasing glutamate in the synapse; it is believed that acetoacetate interferes with the transport of glutamate into the synaptic vesicles. The Michelle P. Waiver (MPW) is the primary means of health insurance for more than 10,000 people in the state of Kentucky. The waiver is especially popular among families with young children with disabilities because it is robust in its benefit offerings and also one of the few Medicaid resources that does not include parental income as a qualifying factor in eligibility. State Bar of Arizona (1977), the U.S. Supreme Court held for the first time that the First and Fourteenth Amendments' protection of the freedom of speech extends to truthful advertising of attorneys' services. The purpose of this research was to determine if a person’s disposition of gratitude can be modified through Interpretation Bias Modification (IBM) techniques. This research should help us understand the causal relationship between interpretation-bias and gratitude. Because gratitude is vital to subjective well-being (SWB), enhancing one’s disposition for gratitude is important, and IBM may provide one means for enhancing gratitude. This research involved students, randomly assigned to one of two conditions (Positive IBM, Negative IBM). Putative peptidyl-tRNA hydrolase domain containing 1 (PTRHD1) is a eukaryotic protein predicted to be a Pth2-like peptidyl-tRNA hydrolase. Peptidyl-tRNA hydrolases (Pth) perform the essential function of recycling tRNA from peptidyl-tRNA in the event of translational failure. This function is ubiquitous in all domains of life. Homologues of bacterial (Pth1) and archaeal (Pth2) Pths are present in eukaryotes; however, simultaneous knockout of Pth1 and Pth2 has no effect on cell viability, suggesting the presence of additional proteins in eukaryotes that contain Pth activity. Hypoxia-Inducible Factor (HIF)-1 is a transcription factor that plays the key role in response to low oxygen concentrations, or hypoxia. Activation of the HIF-1 pathway is not only crucial for normal tissue development and function, but also involved in disease progression, such as cancer. Cancer cells proliferate rapidly in solid tumors, and thus, solid tumors consume much more oxygen and nutrients than normal tissue and generate oxygen tension. It is well established that oxygen tension in solid tumor tissue induces the aberrant activation of the HIF-1 pathway, and subsequently promotes angiogenesis and tumor progression. We exhibit a natural environment, social learning among heterogeneous agents, where even slight misperceptions can have a large negative impact on long-run learning outcomes. We consider a population of agents who obtain information about the state of the world both from initial private signals and by observing a random sample of other agents’ actions over time, where agents’ actions depend not only on their beliefs about the state but also on their idiosyncratic types (e.g., tastes or risk attitudes). When agents are correct about the type distribution in the population, they learn the true state in the long run. By …

In a data-driven educational landscape, it is essential that School Counselor Preparation Programs (SCPPs) train School Counselor Trainees (SCTs) to use effective counseling techniques (Goodman-Scott, 2015; Perusse, Poynton, Parzych, & Goodnough, 2015), especially given their high caseloads (ASCA, 2012, 2018b; Astramovich, Hoskins, Gutierrez, & Bartlett, 2013; Moyer, 2011; DeMato & Curcio, 2004).
