This study experimentally evaluated the thermal performance of selected oils in Uganda for indirect solar domestic cooking applications. The oil samples used were refined sunflower oil, refined palm oil and thermia B. These oils are locally available in Uganda. Thermal stratification, energy and exergy analysis were performed for each oil to determine their suitability for Thermal Energy Storage (TES) using a thermosiphon principle. The results showed that thermal stratification of refined sunflower oil was higher as compared to refined palm oil and thermia B during the first one hour. Aluminium and tungsten co-doped vanadium dioxide (VO2:W:Al) thin films were deposited by DC reactive magnetron sputtering technique. In this work we report on the effects of aluminium and tungsten co–doping on the optical properties of vanadium dioxide (VO2) based thin films with a view of combining both increased luminous transmittance (Tlum) and lowered transition temperature (τc). The effect of aluminium and tungsten co-doping on semiconductor-metal transition of vanadium dioxide films was investigated and compared with tungsten doped and undopedVO2films. Hall Effect Parameters Of Aluminium And Tungsten Co-Doped Vo2 Thin Films, Mohamed Mussa, Nuru R Mlyuka, Margaret E Samiji

The Hall Effect parameters of Al and W co-doped VO2 thin films were studied in order to explain the effect of co-doping on the electrical properties of thermochromic VO2 films. The carrier concentrations and conductivity of the films were found to increase with increase in temperature while carrier mobility decreased reaching a minimum around the transition temperature then slightly rose and became stable at high temperatures. Tungsten doped films displayed higher carrier concentrations and conductivity on both sides of the metal insulator transition and lower mobility compared to undoped and Al and W co-doped VO2 thin films.

This study compares the hyolaryngeal movement during swallowing between post-stroke dysphagia patients with and without penetration/aspiration by videofluoroscopy swallowing study (VFSS). Therapeutic exercise can mitigate sensorimotor deficit and improve motor function in the upper limbs of stroke patients. During physical rehabilitation, elastic bandages (EB) are often used to secure stroke patients' affected upper limbs to exercise equipment. However, the application of EB can reduce blood flow and lower skin temperature in patients' hands. Furthermore, reduced skin temperature can lead to autonomic nervous reactions, of which heart rate variability (HRV) is an effective indicator. This is a content analysis study that aims to analyze the tasks in Pythagorean Theorem unit contained in Indonesian mathematics textbooks and compare them to those of Singapore using the framework to analyze tasks in the textbook with three dimensions of analysis: representation form, contextual feature, and degree of openness. The result of the study shows that in Singaporean Mathematics textbook, verbal representation tasks and closed-ended tasks are commonly found throughout the textbook, meanwhile, application and non-application tasks are divided into exactly a half. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to describe the implementation of the reciprocal teaching learning model assisted by Geogebra to improve the mathematical communication skills of the 11th graders of Vocational students. The researcher conducted this research in two cycles. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in students’ mathematical communication skills from cycle I to cycle II. Reciprocal teaching consists of four stages: summarizing, questioning, predicting and clarifying.

The study aims to investigate the effect of distributed scaffolding in inquiry learning to higher order thinking skills (HOTS) of students, especially on optical geometry subject. Objectives: Stroke is a vital cause of acute neurological dysfunction. This study evaluated the prevalence of comorbidities and their effects on functional recovery in patients with stroke. Methods: This was a prospective study. The participants were 105 patients with acute stroke with moderate to severe functional disability who were admitted for comprehensive rehabilitation. The participants were 76 patients who underwent the Post-acute Care-Cerebrovascular Diseases program and 29 participants who accepted a regular rehabilitation program within 6 months after stroke. The study was designed to evaluate the therapeutic effect of extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) on the rehabilitation of patients with piriformis syndrome. Thirty-six patients diagnosed with unilateral piriformis syndrome were included and allocated randomly into three groups, Groups A-C, with twelve patients in each group. Congenital fiber type disproportion（CFTD）為一非進行性先天性肌肉病變，須經肌肉切片病理確診，其特點為第一型骨骼肌纖維體積比第二型肌纖維至少小12%。現有文獻提及此疾病之臨床表現變異性大，除肌肉無力，可能併有弓狀顎（High-arched palate）、眼肌麻痺症（Ophthalmoplegia）、呼吸障礙等。患者皆因肌肉無力造成顯著功能障礙。本案例為一10歲確診CFTD男童之長期追蹤與復健介入之描述。患者出生時明顯肌張力不全，自四個月起因生長遲滯、吞嚥功能障礙而接受鼻胃管置入，但診斷未明；後續持續安排物理治療與與語言及吞嚥治療，該患者於一歲八個月時開始走路，三歲時成功移除鼻胃管，並於此時才確診CFTD。患者定期接受完整發展評估，結果顯示明顯動作發展遲緩，其社會心理領域評估結果皆為正常範圍。該患者的肌力與肌耐力隨著年紀增大與物理治療介入而有進步。日常生活能力評估於運動部分仍部分依賴。此外，長期追蹤過程發現該患者有多種肌肉病變之併發症，包括脊柱側彎、雞胸（pectus carinatum）、以及關節與肌肉疼痛。物理治療介入以及教導患者以及家屬運用節省能量之日常生活方式，包括輪椅使用、自我安排活動。本病例報告紀錄CFTD肌病變患者之長期追蹤與復健過程，根據患者之狀況設定個人化復健目標，及處理相關之併發症。
