Under the Mentored Experience Grant, six students studies the impact that non-work activities (recreation or leisure) have on individual contributors or organization. Some employees refrain from participating in Leisure-at-Work (LAW) due to lack of time or skill, to cliques, to differing preferences, or fear of negative connotations. Employees report that LAW increases productivity, establishes and enriches social interactions, improves communication, attracts and retains employees in a company, and facilitates a culture of engagement, trust, and camaraderie. At the conclusion of our analysis, we identified areas of future research and recommendations for best practice.

Sistema Muévelo Rico is a 1.2 km long cave in Quintana Roo, less than 2 km from the Caribbean Sea. We measured illuminance to a level of 0.1 lux, organic matter (weight loss on ignition), temperature, and relative humidity. The last two were measured at hourly intervals for nearly one year. Approximately one-third of the cave has illuminance values greater than 0.01 lux, and most of the rest of the cave has light as well. Temperature and relative humidity were relatively constant, but they showed a daily cycle at all stations, albeit with different strengths. Organic matter averaged 8%, intermediate …

An omni-directional catadioptric acquisition system (ODCA system) is provided to address the problem of producing real time, 360°, stereoscopic video of remote events for virtual reality (VR) viewing. The ODCA system is a video image-capture assembly that includes a cylinder with multiple apertures arranged around its circumference to admit light as the ODCA system rotates about a central axis. Inside the cylinder, there is a mirror on the left and right side of each aperture that reflects light rays into the cylinder from different angles. Speciation of copper in marine systems strongly influences the ability of copper to cause toxicity. Natural organic matter (NOM) contains many binding sites which provides a protective effect on copper toxicity. The purpose of this study was to characterize copper binding with NOM using fluorescence quenching techniques. Fluorescence quenching of NOM with copper was performed on nine sea water samples. The resulting stability con- stants and binding capacities were consistent with literature values of marine NOM, show- ing strong binding with log K values from 7.64 to 10.2 and binding capacities ranging from 15 to 3110 nmole mg C ^{−1 …}

The article presents information on water supply of vineyards in mountain regions, methods of water conservation, including irrigation (rain water), soil fertility, surveys and collection of local wastewater in critical water shortages in vineyards. each of them is briefly described and conclusions are drawn. It also examines the work done using the aforementioned local methods for collecting wastewater, as well as recommendations on the irrigation of vineyards in the foothills.

On this article, results of field experiment and laboratory experiment of sowing and growing technology of cotton kind "Andijon 35" together with bean’s kind "Oltin" and mung bean's kind "Pobeda' were highlighted. The results of experiments, from cotton 42.c/ha, also 15 c/ha of leguminous crop and 60 c/ha of fodder were harvested.

The article brings up data on sediment diversity at watercourse bed and on their movement in the form of ridges. The ridge form movement of sediment leads to the reduction of reservoir volume and canal cross section area, which has an effect on their carrying capacity, filling of pump station forechambers and hydroelectric station pressure basins with sediment. The presence of sediment in flow leads to abrasive deterioration of pumps, water motors and pressure pipes and to other negative consequences.
