The article deals with the issues of increasing energy efficiency in obtaining oil from cotton seeds. The relationship between the amount of oil obtained and the degree of damage to cotton seed pulp is shown. Electropulse treatment of cotton seeds is expected to increase the amount of oil produced and to reduce energy costs in the technological process.

It is important that working fluid sprays by nozzle tip monodisperly, that is by smaller drops of th same sizes, for the rising of plants chemical treatment. Employing spraying nozzle tips distribute fluid polydispersely, that is when drops sizes are different, as a result the quality of treatment reduces. In the article authors recommend patent of IDP 04644 to monodispersity of sprayer at the expense of working fluid’s delivery 30-350 to the nozzle tip with abundant content of air bubbles.

The article is devoted to the improvement of the existing technologies for the drainage of collector-drainage systems of the Republic of Uzbekistan by meliorative mowers of foreign and local production. The technical and technological parameters of reclamation mowers for milling slopes and berm of collectors and open drains, which are equipped with four cutting devices of the type, are analyzed; with cutting devices of reciprocating action, rotary with a vertical axis of rotation, rotary with a horizontal axis of rotation and auger. The angle between the spin of a star and the orbital planes of its planets traces the history of the planetary system. Exoplanets orbiting close to cool stars are expected to be on circular, aligned orbits because of strong tidal interactions with the stellar convective envelope. Spin–orbit alignment can be measured when the planet transits its star, but such ground-based spectroscopic measurements are challenging for cool, slowly rotating stars. Here we report the three-dimensional characterization of the trajectory of an exoplanet around an M dwarf star, derived by mapping the spectrum of the stellar photosphere along the chord transited by …

Dementia is becoming increasing more prevalent as individual’s age. More than half of caregivers for patients with dementia rate the emotional stress of caregiving as high or very high (Alzheimer’s Association, 2016). Chronic stress can leads to caregiver fatigue, burnout, irritability and depression (Alzheimer’s Association, 2016). Recognizing stress may help improve the caregiver-patient relationship. The Progressively Lowered Stress Threshold (PLST) model is recommended as a framework for devising non-pharmacological interventions for persons with dementia across living environments (Buckwalter, 1987 & Coon et al, 2012). Trichosporon asahii (T. asahii) has emerged as a dangerous pathogen that causes rare but life-threatening infections. Its resistance to certain antifungal agents makes it difficult to treat, especially for patients undergoing long-term antibiotic therapy. In this study, we performed a series of fluconazole (FLC) perturbation experiments for two T. asahii strains, a clinical isolate stain CBS 2479 (T2) and an environmental isolate strain CBS 8904 (T8), to uncover potential genes and pathways involved in FLC resistance. We achieved 10 transcriptomes of T2 and T8 that were based on dose and time series of FLC perturbations. Systematic comparisons of the transcriptomes …

This paper contributes to the union renewal literature by examining the union voting propensity of workers in the high-tech tertiary sector of videogame development toward different forms of unionization. We used exclusive data from a survey of videogame developers (VGD) working primarily in Anglo-Saxon countries. When looking at the factors related to voting propensity, our data indicated that the type of unionism matters and that industry/sectoral unionism is an increasingly salient model for project-based knowledge workers. This is an important policy dimension given that the legal structures and norms in Anglo-Saxon countries still tend to support decentralized enterprise-based unionism. It …

Background: This study was a review of the (1) consequences that fatigue and sleep deficiency have on the human body, personal safety and safety in the workplace with implications for the construction industry; and (2) factors in the workplace that contribute to worker fatigue.

Methods: A systematic search and review of peer-reviewed articles and gray literature was conducted for sources describing common industry policies, standards and/or recommendations addressing sleep related problems in the workplace.
