Phytoseiids are generally predaceousr thus it was not unusual for Jorgensen (1964) and Croft (1968) to find Typhlodromus mcgregori Chant preying on the eggs, larvae, nymphs, and adults of Panonychus ulmi (Koch) (European red mite), Bryobia rubrioculus (Scheuten) (brown mite) 11 and Tetranychus urticae Koch (= telarius (L.) of Jorgensen, 1964). Jorgensen (19649 1967) further reported that To mcgregori occurred in pomaeeous orchards in Oregon and Utah respectively.

The study consisted of a qualitative survey of airborne pollen on the native prairie. The study site is located T. 151 N., R. 52 W., Sec. 16, Oakville Township, Grand Forks County, North Dakota. Airborne pollen was obtained using the gravity slide method with a Durham Air Sampling Device from June 15 to August 15, 19^7* Gramineae and Chenopodiaceae pollen predominated with Urticaceae, Polygonaceae, Compositae, Pinaceae, and other pollen in lesser amounts.

Glovers Pond is a temperate, dimictic lake, 1.25 miles southwest of the town of Johnsonburg, Blairstown 7.5' Quadrangle, northwestern New Jersey. The Paleozoic Kittatinny, Jacksonburg, and Martinsburg Formations, in fault contact with each other, crop out in the vicinity of the lake. The lake has a maximum depth of 9.5 meters and occupies a glacially modified and dammed fault valley currently being infilled concentrically by .four types of sediment. Basim1ard these are: (1) peat, (2) marl, (3) "transitional", calcareous, organic-rich silt, and (4) gyttja. Glovers Pond is thermally and chemically stratified. Observations On The Life History Of The Goldeye, Hiodon Alosoides (Rafinesque), In Moccasin Bay On The Little Missouri Arm, Garrison Reservoir, North Dakota, Robert N. Hieb

The life history and population structure of goldeye, Hiodon alosoides (Rafinesque), in Moccasin Bay, Garrison Reservoir, North Dakota, were investigated during 1966 and 1967. This species had not been commercially exploited in this impoundment, but current populations indicate that a commercial fishery can be supported.
A gill net fished from the surface to the bottom captured 885 goldeye in 1966. Total-length, weight, and sex were recorded and scale samples collected. The length-frequency of the catch was plotted, and average rate of growth of seven year-classes was calculated by examination of scales from 365 fish. Length-weight relationships and sex ratios were …
