The objective was to study effects of arm swing exercise on cardiovascular outcomes in postmenopausal women with prehypertension. A randomized control trial was conducted, randomly assigned. The armswing exercise program was performed by experimental group comparing with control group. The armswing exercise had health benefits for postmenopausal women with prehypertension.

Medication safety in outpatients is usually overlooked or being managed the same as in the inpatients. Our study findings show the uniqueness and threats of medication process safety from the role and experience of physicians, nurses, and pharmacists working in the outpatient. Using a nationally representative data set, this study examines the associations of young children diagnosed with an externalizing behavior disorder and their mother's mental health status. Significant graded associations of the decline in maternal mental health status was related to the child being diagnosed with an externalizing behavior disorder.

As part of a collaboration between a nurse anesthesia programs in the US and Ghana, a project was initiated to construct and use a low-cost simulated trachea to instruct Ghanaian nurse anesthesia students to perform an emergent cricothyrotomy. Student reported satisfaction with the experience and confidence around learning the skill.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the adaptation and pilot testing of the SEPA intervention among Hispanic men and women between 18 and 50 years old. SEPA (Salud/Health, Educacion/Education, Promocion/Promotion, y/and Autocuidado/self care), is a culturally-specific HIV risk reduction intervention. SEPA was originally tailored for Hispanic women.

A systematic review was conducted to determine the safety and efficacy of exercise-based interventions alone or in combination with psychoeducational components in patients with cardiac implantable devices. The results indicate that exercise training at moderate to high levels is safe and effective in improving cardiopulmonary outcomes with few adverse events.

QPR gatekeeper training for new First Year Experience (FYE) student leaders produced improvements in knowledge, competency, and self-efficacy toward suicide prevention, with decay over time. Our findings support continued use of QPR training for FYE student leaders, with refresher training now being implemented.

Insomnia symptoms is substantially and independently associated with suicidal behaviors in adolescents, particularly difficulty in initiating sleep. Depression did not moderate the relationship. Healthcare providers should be informed by our study findings and scheme effective interventions to reduce insomnia symptoms.

A correlational study found that unprofessional behavior experiences and barriers to medication error reporting predicted safety climate among nurses from a faith-based community hospital with Magnet designation. Study findings indicate that nurse perceived safety climate can be impacted negatively by exposure to unprofessional behaviors and barriers to medication error reporting.

The western and eastern cultures influence college students' coping strategies, life satisfaction and self-actualization, psychological well-being, and depression. Australian college students had higher scores of using Problem Focus Disengagement Coping Strategies and they had higher scores of psychological well-being and life satisfaction and self-actualization.
