The Impact Of Social Expectations And Gender Norms On Women Leaders' Marital And Partner Relationships And Their Influence On Workplace Outcomes, Hedi Kovacs-Resnik Sep 2026

The Impact Of Social Expectations And Gender Norms On Women Leaders' Marital And Partner Relationships And Their Influence On Workplace Outcomes, Hedi Kovacs-Resnik

Economic and Business Review

Leadership sustainability among women remains insufficiently explained in leadership research, as dominant models prioritise workplace factors, neglecting the role of private-life demands. This research explored how social expectations and gender norms influence women's private lives and how the emotional impact spills over into their leadership style and performance, thereby influencing their career progression. Using a qualitative design and thematic analysis of 18 interviews with women in leadership roles, the research examined what it means to lead while also navigating family and relationships.
The findings revealed that the boundaries between women's private and professional lives are almost nonexistent. Professional success often …

When Loyalty Intentions Fail: Evidence On The Intention–Behaviour Gap And Customer Retention In Mobile Telecommunications, Danilo Tomšič Sep 2026

When Loyalty Intentions Fail: Evidence On The Intention–Behaviour Gap And Customer Retention In Mobile Telecommunications, Danilo Tomšič

Economic and Business Review

This paper quantifies and explains the consumer intention–behaviour gap in mobile telecommunications and shows how it matters for competitive resource allocation. Using a two-wave longitudinal survey of 4887 consumers, I compare stated switching intentions at time t with self-reported provider choice at t + 1 and identify a 15.4% divergence comprising two forms: nonswitching intenders (consumers who intended to switch but did not) and switching nonintenders (consumers who did not intend to switch but did). Binary logistic models reveal temporal asymmetry in determinants. Among nonswitching intenders, higher baseline loyalty (satisfaction, repeat-choice commitment, and recommendation intention) lowers the likelihood of remaining …

System And Method For Statistical Modeling And Automated Lifecycle Refresh Detection Of Digital Media Assets, Manisha Arora, Yassine Idrissi, Bruno Caforio Sep 2026

System And Method For Statistical Modeling And Automated Lifecycle Refresh Detection Of Digital Media Assets, Manisha Arora, Yassine Idrissi, Bruno Caforio

Defensive Publications Series

A data-driven, statistically rigorous analytical framework is disclosed for determining performance decay and optimizing the replacement timing of digital media assets (such as images and videos) in digital media campaigns. The system ingests campaign-level and asset-level metrics on a daily basis and extracts high-dimensional visual and semantic embedding vectors from the media assets using a deep neural network feature extractor. A visual taxonomy is constructed by clustering similar assets into visual archetypes using K-Means clustering, allowing for aggregate fatigue analysis within specific thematic content clusters. The statistical decay engine fits a non-linear saturation model (e.g., a Hill function S-curve) to …

Adaptive Homeostasis: A Strategy For Preserving Stability And Generative Capacity Under Uncertainty, Volodymyr Kotegov Sep 2026

Adaptive Homeostasis: A Strategy For Preserving Stability And Generative Capacity Under Uncertainty, Volodymyr Kotegov

Defensive Publications Series

This document offers a practical framework of priorities and working tools for people confronting a shrinking planning horizon, the declining value of conventional educational and professional pathways, rising psychophysical exhaustion, and a loss of coherent direction.

The strategy addresses two related tasks. The first is to protect psychological and physical health, secure basic material stability, and maintain the capacity for clear thinking. The second is to sustain generative capacity—the ability to produce non-trivial observations, hypotheses, and life trajectories. Generativity is treated first and foremost as a present-day resource. It supports a sense of meaning, adaptability, and psychological resilience. Secondarily, it …

Key Strategies Enabling The Contribution Of Social Infrastructure In Climate-Proofing Cities: An Explorative Case Study Of Rotterdam, The Netherlands, Sara Elgamal, Alaa El.Eashy, Sherif Sheta

HBRC Journal

Social infrastructure, as the physical medium for social life in cities, is increasingly being acknowledged for its ability to offer climate-proofing benefits both in times of climate stability and climate disturbances. However, more evidence is needed on how social infrastructure can be deliberately shaped to contribute to climate-proofing cities. Our study addresses this gap through exploring the key strategies which ensure the effective engagement of social infrastructure (SI) in climate proofing cities (CPC). An explorative case study of Rotterdam city is performed, as the city is well recognized as a pioneer in climate resilience through spatial planning. Data sources for …

Integrative Dna Barcoding In Ficus Cultivars In Taif Highlands, Saudi Arabia: Complementary Roles Of Rbcl And Trnh-Psba Markers, Amal A. Alyamani Sep 2026

Integrative Dna Barcoding In Ficus Cultivars In Taif Highlands, Saudi Arabia: Complementary Roles Of Rbcl And Trnh-Psba Markers, Amal A. Alyamani

University of Bisha Journal for Basic and Applied Sciences

The common fig (Ficus carica L.) is a commercially significant fruit crop in Saudi Arabia, with particular importance in the Al-Taif highland region. In this study, three DNA barcodes (rbcL, ITS, and trnH-psbA) were evaluated on eleven fig cultivars collected from various geographically distinct sites within the Al-Taif highlands. A combination of three plant DNA barcoding markers, rbcL, ITS, and trnH-psbA, alongside selected morphological traits of mature leaves and fruits, was used to assess the genetic and phenotypic diversity among Fig varieties. The integrative approach aimed to achieve reliable cultivar discrimination and enhance understanding of the genetic structure and …

Adaptive Uav Network Defense Against Cyber Threats Using Gt-Tgc-Drl Hybrid Framework, Ahmed I. Taloba, Meshari S. Alshammroki Sep 2026

Adaptive Uav Network Defense Against Cyber Threats Using Gt-Tgc-Drl Hybrid Framework, Ahmed I. Taloba, Meshari S. Alshammroki

University of Bisha Journal for Basic and Applied Sciences

The Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAVs) communication networks are becoming easy targets of cyber-attacks such as denial of service, spoofing and intrusion, compromising on the mission-critical operations. The existing methods for cybersecurity using conventional machine learning or pure deep learning cannot reflect the complexity of spatial and temporal dependencies and cannot be adaptive against new cyber-attacks in UAV networks. In order to surmount these constraints, we present a new Graph Transformer-Temporal Graph Convolutional-Deep Reinforcement Learning (GT-TGC-DRL) architecture to adaptive UAV cyber defense. The methodology models UAV network traffic in terms of graph structures, with nodes used to model UAVs and edges …

Industry Perspectives On Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Utilization For Dam Inspection And Maintenance, Abdulaziz Alzahrani, Mohammed Sulaiman

University of Bisha Journal for Basic and Applied Sciences

Effective inspection and maintenance of dams are essential for infrastructure longevity, water resource management, and public safety. Historically, dam maintenance relied heavily on visual inspections, which were limited in scope and accuracy, especially in detecting internal structural issues such as seepage and foundational degradation. This paper presents an industry-oriented evaluation of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) as a transformative tool in modern dam inspection and maintenance. The study explores UAVs' capacity to enhance efficiency, safety, and precision in identifying structural anomalies, erosion, and environmental degradation. Survey data collected from contractors in the Saudi water sector provides insight into current adoption levels, …

A Principled Approach To Equitable Compensation Undea Principled Approach To Equitable Compensation Under Erisa § 502(A)(3)R Erisa § 502(A)(3), Gabriel Juedemann

University of Chicago Law Review

In many cases, a beneficiary of an employee benefit plan suffers an injury due to a fiduciary’s misfeasance, but the beneficiary does not have a claim under ERISA’s benefit-recovery provision. In these circumstances, the beneficiary’s only path to relief is § 502(a)(3)’s authorization of “appropriate equitable relief.” But whether that provision permits monetary compensation when a beneficiary sues a fiduciary is a question the Supreme Court has not cleanly resolved, and circuit courts have fractured as a result.

This Comment argues that equitable compensation—or surcharge—should be available under § 502(a)(3) when a beneficiary sues a fiduciary, but only under certain …

The profession of dentistry consistently strives to better the oral and dental conditions of people throughout the world. This is accomplished in a variety of ways- improving dental materials, refining and developing new technologies and educating the public on matters which affect their health. In order to achieve these beneficent goals dentistry relies on evidence-based facts and science.

Unfortunately, there will always be a segment of society which puts forth assertions that are not based on solid evidence. Communal water fluoridation has been a safe and effective public health effort to decrease humanity’s suffering from dental caries for decades. This …
