Recently, a school of nursing completed a curriculum redesign moving to a modified concept-based program. While NCLEX-RN pass rates were high, leadership sought improved student satisfaction and outcomes through streamlining and reorganizing the curriculum. The Modified Nursing Student Satisfaction Scale (Chen & Lo, 2012) was incorporated in the study.

A cohort of young burn survivors' long-term psychological resilience toward a mass burn casualty in the well-known Formosa Color Dust Explosion in Taiwan was presented.The results highlighted the importance of early prevention and detection of mental health fluctuations toward delayed psychological responses after two years of major traumatic events.

A quasi-experimental design was used to examine the effect of self-titration program among insulin treated type 2 diabetes. The results of this intervention study reveal self-titration program was an effective education in glycemic control, self-efficacy and self-care behavior in insulin treated type 2 diabetes patients, without increasing adverse events.

The Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS)-21, measuring emotional symptoms, has been evaluated its measurement properties in 48 articles. Overall, the DASS-21 demonstrated sufficient high-quality evidence for bi-factor structural validity, internal consistency (under bi-factor), criterion validity, and hypothesis testing for construct validity.

Medical/Surgical Readmissions In Patients With Co-Occurring Serious Mental Illness: A Qualitative Systematic Literature Review, Rachel A. Solomon, Hayley D. Germack, Abigail E. Caron, Nancy P. Hanrahan

This poster aims to estimate the relationship between comorbid serious mental illness (SMI) diagnosis and 30-day medical-surgical readmissions. The search yielded 424 articles, with fourteen meeting inclusion criteria. Meta-analysis showed that patients with SMI have greater odds of readmission than those without, displaying the meaningful relationship between SMI and readmission.
