Influential Factors On Historic Interpretation: A Case Study Of Tipton-Haynes State Historic Site, Matthew Frye
Influential Factors On Historic Interpretation: A Case Study Of Tipton-Haynes State Historic Site, Matthew Frye
Electronic Theses and Dissertations
Influences on the interpretation of Tipton-Haynes State Historic Site have caused many alterations to the site and the presentation of its history. Scholars have described how public history sites have continually expanded their interpretations as growing desires and interests from external influences such as the general public, state agencies, and donors. However, Tipton-Haynes has also faced many internal influences. While the creators of the site aided in the limitation and exclusion of the site’s vital history, over time the involvement and opinions of the board of trustee members, directors, and staff shaped an increasingly inclusive and expansive interpretation of the …

Trees With Unique Italian Dominating Functions Of Minimum Weight, Alyssa England
Electronic Theses and Dissertations
An Italian dominating function, abbreviated IDF, of $G$ is a function $f \colon V(G) \rightarrow \{0, 1, 2\}$ satisfying the condition that for every vertex $v \in V(G)$ with $f(v)=0$, we have $\sum_{u \in N(v)} f(u) \ge 2$. That is, either $v$ is adjacent to at least one vertex $u$ with $f(u) = 2$, or to at least two vertices $x$ and $y$ with $f(x) = f(y) = 1$. The Italian domination number, denoted $\gamma_I$(G), is the minimum weight of an IDF in $G$. In this thesis, we use operations that join two trees with a single edge in order …

Cost is allocated using the proportional allocation approach in combination with the random forest method in machine learning. First, this framework …
Effects Of Design Autonomy On The Flow Experience, Antonio F Coriano
Effects Of Design Autonomy On The Flow Experience, Antonio F Coriano
Electronic Theses and Dissertations
Most modern workplace settings are laden with operating procedures aimed at standardizing action in the name of efficiency. The cost of this standardization is the autonomy of the operator. Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi stated the problem concisely in his 1975 work Beyond Boredom and Anxiety “… [M]ost of the institutions that take up our time…are organized around the assumption that serious work is grim and unpleasant. Because of this assumption, most of our time is spent doing unpleasant things”. An experiment was created to study and better understand how to redress this harmful situation. Sixteen subjects were given a SolidWorks computer-aided design …
