Most of the surplus whey is considered to be and handled as an industrial waste, and disposed of in some manner. Whey is a by-product of cheese making. Since 90% of the starting volume of milk remains as whey after cheese manufacture, annual production of whey is large. We are concerned with determining the stable geometric configurations of aromatic hydrocarbon molecules. This is an important problem since the molecule’s physical and chemical properties are dependent on the way in which different groups of the molecule are spatially oriented. Many symmetric aromatic molecules with attached phenyl groups avoid the planar structure which would maximize the resonance energy because of steric hindrance. Approximately two decades ago Robertson et al. (1948) reported that high-energy diets supported faster growth of young chicks with an improvement in feeding efficiency. This seemed to open an era in poultry nutrition in which much work was conducted in order to establish the quantitative relationships between dietary energy levels and nutrients. With current emphasis on the energy content of the diet, a knowledge of those factors which interfere with the most efficient utilization of energy is important. The alpha particle model presupposes the nucleus to be composed of alpha particles bound by harmonic forces in some equilibrium configuration. These alpha particles may not retain their identity but may exchange like nucleons. This model receives additional support in that alpha nuclei have higher binding energies than neighboring nuclei. Nearly 90% of the total nuclear binding energy is accounted for in the alpha particles. A more objectionable defect arises in the requirement that the amplitudes of vibration be as large as the nucleus itself. This precludes consideration of the alpha particles as distinct entities. Research concerning reading speed, type size, leading, and line width has been conducted in a systematic way for the past 50 years. The Minnesota eye-movement camera was used to reveal the specific patterns of eye movements involved in reading optimal versus non-optimal lines widths. In contradiction to Tinker and Paterson, Matthew Luckiesh and Frank Moss concluded that the readability of 10-point Text type with 2 points of leading diminishes as the length of line is increased from 13 to about 21 picas; and that further increases in the line length result in less important changes in readability. Ingles, after an intensive investigation concerning the fruitfulness of teaching history, concluded that the attitudes developed through the study of history are probably considerable more important than the specific knowledge that the student has acquired during his training. The use of motivational techniques to increase physical performance has long been advocated by individuals in the physical education and coaching professions. Jokl concerned himself with a description of clinical findings in three Olympic athletes who attained success in international competition even though they were afflicted with major physical abnormalities. He felt that motivation was an intangible factor in human performance and that all outstanding performances raise the question of motivation. These studies have included: the agents of fixation, the physiology of fixation, inhibitors of fixation, and cell free nitrogen fixation and symbiont relationships during fixation. Many theories have been proposed to yield a current-time relationship in Polarography. The most widely accepted is that of Matsuda. He assumes that the electrolyte can be separated into an inhomogeneous region about the mercury drop and a homogeneous region elsewhere. This assumption leads to a first order , nonlinear, ordinary differential equation directly solvable by substitution of a properly chosen series. But the series solution obtained is only a particular solution; for there exists, as one would expect, a family of solutions depending on a contrast of integration. The purpose of this investigation was to determine the effects of physical, mental-physical, and mental practice on learning a motor skill; one hand free throw shooting. The following procedure was implied: Forty-five male freshman students at South Dakota State University volunteered and were divided by a table of random numbers into physical, mental-physical, and mental practice groups. The subjects in all three groups participated in a four-week training program, in which they met four times a week.
