Studies on the profile of income inequality revealed that Singaporean Malays continuously occupied the lowest income strata and fared relatively poorer in their academic performance compared to other races. In a highly competitive meritocratic education system that rewards relative merit, yet neglects how unequal backgrounds provided unfair starting points for some, such low-income Malay households may appear to be systemically disadvantaged by income inequality and their access to better education. Under these circumstances, income inequality is further perpetuated. This thesis aims to analyze the informal worker movement that is associated with a labor NGO named HomeNet Thailand, which helped mobilize informal workers and strengthen their skills and knowledge. The core analysis of thesis follows Resource Mobilization Theory and Political Process Theory to analyze the informal workers' developments, conditions, and limitations. This thesis explores the Informal workers' situation during Yingluck Shinawatra's civilian government (2011-2014) and Prayut Chan-o-cha's miliatry government (2014-Present). Foreign direct investment (FDI) has increased globally since the late 1980s. It increased rapidly in Cambodia in the past two decades. This paper aims to examine the determinants of inward FDI from China, South Korea and Japan and its contribution to economic growth in Cambodia during 1994-2014, using both time series analysis by country and the panel data analysis. The results on the determinants of FDI show that real GDP, bilateral trade between the countries, exchange rate, inflation rate, and relative labor productivity are statistically significant and have positive impact on inward FDI flows into Cambodia, and inward FDI from …

Nation branding is a concept derived from consumer product branding, referring to the development of a nation-brand identity to improve a nation's reputation and image for global audiences. The impact of expatriates on knowledge transfer in foreign subsidiaries has been a focus of research on knowledge management in multinational companies (MNCs). This study combines knowledge-based view, the concept of absorptive capacity, and studies on expatriates literature's approach to examine the effect from expatriates on transfer of two kinds of MNC's knowledge (i.e. technological knowledge and marketing knowledge). This paper also analyzes the impact of knowledge absorptive capacity on subsidiary performance to examine how expatriates affect subsidiary performance by knowledge transfer. The aim of this research is to develope acrylonitrile butadiene styrene composite reinforced with hydrophobic silica nanoparticles. In this study, in-situ synthesis of ABS rubber particles containing hydrophobic silica nanoparticles (HDTMS-silica) was carried out. Firstly, three of HDTMS-silicas (HDTMS-silica1, HDTMS-silica2, and HDTMS-silica3) were prepared by silanization of SiO2 nanoparticle with hexadecyltrimethoxysilane (HDTMS : SiO2 wt ratios of 1 : 1, 2 : 1, and 3 : 1) in an emulsion system. In this thesis, we study the following reaction-diffusion equation:[Equation] where f is a continuously differentiable function on R , α > 0 is a constant, [sumbol] is a continuous function and is non-radial kernel function. We establish the corresponding comparison principle. Then, we prove the local existence and uniqueness result based on the monotone iteration sequence technique. Finally, certain sufficient conditions on the local nonlinear term that guarantee the existence and uniqueness of global solution are specified.

The objective of this study is to prepare and modify parawood microcrystalline cellulose (PW-MCC) for applying as reinforced material for polypropylene composites. PW-MCC was prepared from parawood sawdust using acid hydrolysis method with pulp to acid ratio at 1:15 and temperature at 80oC for 2 hours. The obtained PW-MCC exhibited the cellulose type I with CrI at 60%. Moreover, PW-MCC had higher thermal stability than parawood sawdust. PW-MCC was further modified with various types of coupling agent such as maleic anhydride-grafted-polypropylene (PP-G-MA), organosilane, and acid chloride. We use the concept of exponent of finite commutative rings to define the Carmichael quotients and the Carmichael quotients of degree d over polynomial rings over finite local rings, and then we give some congruence relations of these quotients. In the first, we improve the technique of Chuntee and Neammanee (2017) to obtain an exponential non-uniform bound on normal approximation for any random variables whose exchangeable pair can be constructed. The outlierness of an instance in this thesis is defined based on the distance between two instances. For some datasets, outliers may not be isolated and formed small clusters. C-anomalous assemblage is a group of associated outliers having the number of instances less than or equal to C percent of the total instances. A classical Segal-Bargmann transform maps square-integrable functions on R to holomorphic square-integrable functions on C with respect to some Gaussian measure. In this work, we extend the classical Segal-Bargmann transform to functions taking values in a Clifford algebra. We establish that in this setting, the generalized Segal-Bargmann transform is a unitary isomorphism mapping Clifford algebra-valued square-integrable functions on Rⁿ with respect to some Gaussian measure to monogenic square-integrable functions on Rⁿ⁺¹ with respect to another Gaussian measure. We also discuss about the differential and multiplication operators in the monogenic functions space as well as certain properties of their domains.

In this thesis, we introduce a new dependence concept for a sequence of random vectors taking values in real separable Hilbert spaces called coordinate-wise widely orthant dependence and extend the Baum-Katz Theorem to obtain complete convergence and complete moment convergence for a sequence of co-ordinatewise widely orthant dependent random vectors taking values in Hilbert spaces.
