Continuous chemical dengue control can cause vector resistance and environmental pollution. Developing natural larvicides (bio-larvicides) from plant toxins like white chicory, which can poison Aedes aegypti larvae, is necessary for a sustainable alternative. This study aimed to analyze differences in active ingredients in white chicory leaves (Brassica pekinensis L) as bio-larvicide against Aedes aegypti larvae. This study was a pure experiment using a post-test-only control design using 1,225 Aedes aegypti instar III larvae with extracts of alkaloid active ingredients, flavonoids, and concentrations of 0%, 24%, 34%, and 40% with 3 times replication. This study aims to explore the impact of Covid-19 confirmed cases and Covid-19 death cases on stock return of healthcare, technology, finance, transportation, and logistic sector companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange in January – May 2020. Using panel data regression method, the study found that Covid-19 confirmed cases significantly affect stock return of healthcare, technology, finance, transportation, and logistic sector companies. However, there are no significant impact of Covid-19 death cases on stock return of healthcare, technology, finance, transportation, and logistic sector companies.

Tuberkulosis (TB) adalah salah satu penyakit menular penyebab kematian tertinggi di dunia. Pada populasi pasien TB, terdapat banyak faktor yang dapat meningkatkan risiko kejadian yang tidak diharapkan dari pengobatan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kegagalan pengobatan pada pasien TB dewasa di Provinsi Jawa Tengah pada tahun 2022. Studi cross-sectional ini menganalisis data sekunder dari Sistem Informasi TB (SITB), menggunakan 14.542 sampel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Tuberculosis (TB) remains a major global health issue, particularly in Southeast Asia, where its impact extends beyond public health to affect economic performance. This study evaluates the economic implications of TB incidence on gross domestic product (GDP) growth across eight ASEAN countries from 2000 to 2020. We employed a panel data regression approach, utilizing Common Effect Model (CEM), Fixed Effects Model (FEM), and Random Effects Model (REM) to analyze the relationship between TB incidence and economic growth. Background: Leprosy is a chronic infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium leprae. Current therapeutic regimen, like the multidrug therapy (MDT), are effective in treating most cases, but new cases continue to emerge in Indonesia every year. While multidrug therapy alone is adequate for treating leprosy, there is a need for adjuvant treatment options to boost the host’s immune system to prevent the worsening of leprosy and reduce the activation of M. leprae, such as immunomodulators.

To foster scientific advances in basic and clinical research projects, a philanthropic "hair & skin research grant" program was launched in 2021 through a partnership between University of Indonesia, Perdoski, and L’Oreal Research and Innovation. The aim of the program is to empower Indonesian scientists to generate research data on general skin and hair issues that affect the Indonesian population. Infant nutrition and immune protection require the consumption of human milk, with macrophages mainly contributing to immune defense and infant development. This study was performed to investigate the correlation between macrophage cell numbers in human milk and various maternal factors. Thirteen human milk samples were collected from lactating mothers and were evaluated for macrophage cell numbers using a hemacytometer. The recorded questionnaire containing several questions, including age, multivitamin consumption, coronavirus disease 2019 vaccination status, allergy history, and lactation duration, was used to determine the maternal factors. Pearson’s correlation and Mann-Whitney test was employed in statistical analysis, with p-values < 0.05 considered significant. The macrophage cell number reached 54.236 ± 7.456 cells per mL. Reproductive health for adolescents with disabilities is often disregarded, and education on personal hygiene is insufficient because some people perceive menstruation as a sensitive topic and have a false belief that adolescents with disabilities have no sexual desire. This study aimed to determine the overview of personal hygiene behavior among adolescents with physical and intellectual disabilities when facing menstruation. The crisis initially emerged as a supply disruption issue but eventually evolved into a myriad of additional challenges, which were attributed mainly to the extensive scale of the pandemic. This study aimed to explore the barriers to the role of hospital pharmacists and related facilitators encountered during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Provinsi Lampung terus mengalami kenaikan kasus dan suspek difteri sejak 2020 dan turut menyumbang angka kematian akibat difteri pada tahun 2023. The study aims to explore how the author conveys the ideology of handling trauma in children after earthquake disasters. The objects of the study are two picture storybooks titled "Yuzuchan" and "Yappari Ouchi Ga Ii Na." The research was conducted qualitatively using the documentary data search method. Introduction. Invasive fungal infection (IFI) is increasingly common in patients at risk, especially those with impaired immune response. In Indonesia, there is currently a low prevalence of IFI which may be influenced by challenges in diagnosis. This study aimed to determine the prevalence and clinical characteristics of IFI patients in Dr. Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Bandung, Indonesia.

The Sayap Palace is a relic of the Pelalawan Kingdom, located in Pelalawan Regency. This palace was built during the reign of Sultan Assyaidi Syarif Hasim. The purpose of this article is to describe the process of the establishment of the Sayap Palace, its role in people’s lives, and its use in the field of education. This article uses the historical method with descriptive analysis techniques and literature studies. Difteri menjadi salah satu penyebab utama kematian anak dan dewasa pada era pre-vaksin. Insiden difteri secara global kembali meningkat pada beberapa tahun terakhir dengan case fatality rate (CFR) mencapai 10%. Manusia tidak memiliki kekebalan alami terhadap difteri, sehingga pemberian imunisasi sangat penting untuk memberikan perlindungan terhadap infeksi difteri, mengurangi tingkat keparahan dan risiko kematian. The COVID-19 virus infection has had an impact on the global health and economic system, including in developing countries. This research is an observational study by estimating the indirect costs of lost productivity due to premature deaths in COVID-19 patients at PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital in 2021 and knowing the characteristics of the patients.
