This study is based on phenomena exploration and commitment career of students who are in the low category and causing confusion and indecision in taking a career. This research uses research design equivalent time series.Subjects in this study amounted to 8 students. This research uses data analysis with Wilcoxon test. The result of this research is an increase of score after given intervention using Experiential Learning model.

Kemampuan Siswa Field Dependent Level Multistructural Dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Pythagoras Dan Pemberian Scaffolding, Siti Na’Imah, I Made Sulandra, Rustanto Rahardi

Jurnal Pendidikan: Teori, Penelitian, dan Pengembangan

This study aimed to describe the ability of multilateral FD students to solve the problem of Pythagoras and its scaffolding. The data collection begins with GEFT and test 1. The subject's examination process is analyzed based on the SOLO taxonomy to see its level of ability. The results showed that the ability of multistructural level FD subjects could use some of the information provided for problem solving, but the answer given was not accurate. Scaffolding efforts to increase the level of FD students' ability from multistructural level to relational level consist of reviewing, restructuring, and developing contextual thinking.

This aims of the research to examine the effect of industry support to the success of students performing in teaching factory. Teaching factory is a production-based on learning that brings the industry atmosphere into learning. This learning is expected to make students ready to work, so that unemployment SMK graduates can be reduced. Data analysis in this research use descriptive and regression analysis. The results showed that industry support influenced to the successful implementation of teaching factory with 39.2% of effective contribution.

Motivation to learn is the driving or moving of someone to learn. Motivation to learn can come from within from the stimulation of the surrounding environment. Master’s actions are one of the forms of learning that comes from environmental stimuli. This study aims to determine the relationship of learning with learning achievement, teacher learning with learning achievement, and learning with teachers and learning achievement at SDN 029 Tarakan. This type of research is a quantitative research. The result showed there was a very strong relationship between learning motivation and teacher action with learning achievement.

The Hispanic population within the United States has grown to a considerable amount. The state of Florida’s population is 25% Hispanic, with projected estimates of this population continuing to grow in the coming years (Ortman & Shin, 2011). Statistics show that 28.3% of the state’s population, over the age of five, speak a language other than English at home. Supporting Primary Students’ Story Writing By Including Retellings, Talk, And Drama With Strategy Instruction, Zoi A. Traga Philippakos, Sarah Munsell, Logan B. Robinson

The Language and Literacy Spectrum

Story writing and story grammar have been studied extensively in an effort to improve students’ reading comprehension. Instruction on story structure and on elements of stories can improve the writing quality of students’ papers. This paper explains a process of supporting primary-grade students’ story writing. The approach is based on strategy instruction and incorporates talk and dramatic play as ways to support the development of characters, descriptions of characters and events, and dialogue between characters. Guidelines are provided and step-by-step directions for teachers to use this work with their students.

This research explored how the changing standards have influenced special education teachers’ efforts to meet the needs of their students, and the teachers’ perceptions of the consistent changes in standards. A narrative, qualitative design was used, which involved eight participant interviews. In each interview, the participants answered questions pertaining to their level of comfort teaching the Common Core Standards and Georgia Standards of Excellence, whether or not they received professional development on the standards, and what they think of the new standards. This dissertation presents findings from a qualitative discourse analysis study of three pre-service teachers enrolled in the Urban Teacher Residency Partnership Program (UTRPP); a clinical teacher preparation setting at a major southeastern university. UTRPP is a full-time teacher preparation program that focuses on university student achievement through embedded coursework and provides preservice teachers (PSTs) with the opportunity to work with a content coach. Through coaching cycles, these PSTs work one-on-one with a literacy content coaches to enrich their teaching experiences and connect theory to practice through content coaching cycles. This presentation was a people's choice session at the 2018 ISTE conference and engaged participants in conversations about coaching approaches that when coupled with strategies to evaluate Open Educational Resources (OER) can build the capacity of teachers and improve the learning by students. The session provided participants with opportunities to discuss leadership approaches to the evaluation of OER resources that are consistent with education policies, build the capacity of educators and improve the quality of learning by students; and coaching methods for school leaders that enables the identification, analysis, curation and incorporation of OER resources into classroom practices.

This study investigates the factors which support the use of arts-based pedagogy in elementary settings. To address the lack of a current profile of an early-career teacher (ECT) with a propensity to use the arts – music, theatre, dance, and visual art – this study illuminates ECT attitudes and behaviors related to arts-based pedagogy. I arrived in the U.S. 15 years ago as a master’s student in early childhood education after teaching in elementary schools in Turkey. Becoming a permanent resident in my new country and parenting my two Turkish-American boys fueled my scholarly interest in the experiences of immigrant communities with their children’s early school years, specifically the ways they negotiate cultural and linguistic identities in educational settings.
