Journal of Educational Technology Development and Exchange (JETDE)
This study examines the incorporation of artificial intelligence (AI) into case-based teaching (CBT) within Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs in China, amidst the rapid digital transition in higher education. Guided by the Context–Input–Process–Product (CIPP) evaluation framework, the study adopted a qualitative design and conducted semi-structured interviews with five instructors from three core MBA courses. The findings indicate that AI enhanced classroom interaction and reduced teachers’ workload by supporting real-time feedback and dynamic discussion processes. Institutional support, including teacher training, digital infrastructure, and technical assistance, was recognized as a vital facilitator of effective implementation. Despite its various benefits, the study …

Journal of Educational Technology Development and Exchange (JETDE)
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming higher education, but its effectiveness depends on how educators perceive, adopt, and psychologically respond to the technology. This study examines the effects of educators’ perception of AI and AI adoption on self-reported educators’ performance through AI readiness and psychological well-being. Grounded in the Technology Acceptance Model, Readiness for Change Theory, and the Job Demands–Resources framework, the study employed a quantitative cross-sectional survey design. Data were collected from 121 educators at private higher education institutions in North Sumatra, Indonesia, using purposive sampling of active educators. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling. …

This study evaluated the integration of coding, visual block programming, game engines, and machine learning (ML) modeling in initial teacher education. The aim was to examine the feasibility of this instructional approach and its association with pre-service teachers’ computational knowledge and attitudes toward programming and artificial intelligence (AI). A one-group pretest-posttest design was implemented with 129 undergraduate students enrolled in Primary Education degree programs at two public universities in Spain. Knowledge of computational concepts was assessed with a 10-item test analyzed using a paired-samples Student’s t-test, while attitudes toward programming and ML were evaluated with two Likert scales analyzed using …

Teacher Mental Health And Student Success: Examining The Impact Of Educator Well-Being On Classroom Outcomes, Caleb Stiles
All Electronic Theses and Dissertations
This study examined the relationship between teacher mental health and student success through a review of current and foundational research. The purpose of the study was to explore how teacher stress, burnout, and emotional well-being influence student outcomes across academic, behavioral, and social-emotional domains. The literature revealed that teacher burnout negatively affects instructional quality, classroom climate, and teacher-student relationships, all of which are essential to student achievement and engagement. Research also showed that teachers with higher self-efficacy and stronger emotional regulation skills are better equipped to manage stress and create supportive learning environments. Organizational factors such as leadership support, workload …

Theses and Dissertations--Educational Leadership Studies
This study aimed to explore how educators involved in the Certificate of Educational Technology and Information Literacy (COETAIL) program perceived the development of their professional capital within an online, cohort-based professional learning community. Based on Hargreaves and Fullan’s (2012) concept of professional capital, which includes human, social, and decisional capital, and guided by social learning theories, the study examined participants’ perceptions of professional capital development, the program features related to that development, and how participation influenced their professional paths. The research focused on international school settings, where educators often rely on networked professional learning because of geographic mobility and limited …

Promoting Peer Collaboration Through A Blending Of Synchronous And Asynchronous Technologies In An Engineering Focused Nsf Research Experience For Teachers (Ret) Project, Joseph Brobst, Melani Loney, Imole Samson
Center for Educational Partnerships Publications
This brief paper describes findings drawn from a summer Research Experiences for Teachers project, in which secondary science teachers completed engineering research activities and designed related lessons using the Argument Driven Inquiry (ADI) framework. Teachers participated in a hybrid professional development sequence, engaging with a STEM program manager and each other in-person and through both synchronous online sessions and asynchronous engagement in a shared virtual space. We use a multiple case study approach to describe how interactions within these spaces facilitated peer feedback and informal mentoring and coaching, ultimately strengthening teachers’ lesson plans and leaving them better poised to translate …

The Problem
Across the United States and within faith-based schools recent social and political currents have amplified tensions around culture and belonging in classrooms, particularly for students from racially, ethnically, linguistically, and socioeconomically diverse communities. Evidence indicates that when schooling practices overlook students’ cultural identities or normalize a single cultural frame, students can experience marginalization and reduced access to equitable opportunities to learn (Gay, 2018; Ladson-Billings, 1995; Milner, 2010). In mathematics, a subject often perceived as culture-neutral these dynamics may surface through curriculum choices, participation norms, and expectations that do not meaningfully connect to students’ lived experiences (Aguirre, Mayfield-Ingram, & …

The Power Of Belonging: Transforming Preservice Educators Through Culturally Responsive Teaching, Rebecca J. Ford
West Chester University Graduate Theses, Dissertations, and Final Projects
This thesis explores the role of Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) as a means of fostering student belonging, dignity, and academic engagement within the United States public education system. Despite increasing cultural diversity in schools, many students continue to experience practices that fail to affirm their identities or reflect their lived experiences. The thesis proposes the development of a preservice teacher course designed to help incoming educators examine their own cultural identities and biases, understand the principles of culturally responsive teaching, and implement practical, low-preparation instructional strategies that foster authentic inclusion and belonging. By positioning students' cultural knowledge and lived experiences …

A Descriptive Study Of Culturally Responsive Practices In Positive Behavioral Interventions And Supports (Pbis) In West Virginia Elementary Schools, Janna Rae Coleman
Theses, Dissertations and Capstones
This descriptive mixed-methods study examined elementary teachers’ implementation and perceived effectiveness of culturally responsive practices within existing Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) systems in a West Virginia school district. Guided by Leverson et al.’s (2021) Culturally Responsive PBIS (CRPBIS) framework, the study explored five components of culturally responsive practice: identity, voice, supportive environment, situational appropriateness, and data for equity. Both quantitative and qualitative data were collected from 86 elementary teachers using the researcher-developed Culturally Responsive Practices in Existing PBIS Survey. Findings indicated that teachers reported frequent implementation and perceived effectiveness across all five components, with the supportive environment receiving …

Inclusive education is widely recognized as a key approach to ensuring equitable access to quality education for children with special needs, requiring teachers to possess adequate knowledge, skills, and supportive resources. In the Nigerian context, particularly in private schools, gaps in teacher training, limited resources, and insufficient institutional support continue to hinder the effective implementation of inclusive education practices. This study investigates teachers' perspectives on inclusive education for children with special needs in Nigerian private schools. The primary purpose is to assess teachers' understanding of inclusive education, their familiarity with effective teaching strategies, and their preparedness to implement inclusive practices. …

Bilingual Teacher Advocacy, Agency, And Leadership: A Model For Teacher Education And Professional Development, Grace Jue Yeon Kim, Zhenjie Weng, Jingyi Zhu
Faculty Journal Articles
Research has examined bilingual teachers’ work and their
experiences through the theoretical lens of teacher advocacy,
teacher agency, and teacher leadership. This research synthesis
analyzes the current research on the three frameworks in bilingual
education and examines how they intersect. Bilingual teachers
advocated for educational change to address the needs of
emergent bilinguals. Despite various context-specific constraints,
bilingual teachers agentively created bilingual spaces for
linguistically diverse students. Furthermore, bilingual teachers
actively took up leadership roles, demonstrated increased
consciousness, and developed leadership identities. Through this
exploration, this paper proposes a model that integrates the three
frameworks for bilingual teacher education and …
