This study aims to describe the career choice tendency of state senior high school students in the industry 4.0 era. This research is quantitative descriptive research, in the form of a percentage, involving 236 students as the participants. The sample was chosen using cluster random sampling technique. Previous studies have indicated that psychological well-being has a positive contribution to mental health and is a predictor of academic achievement, self-control, life satisfaction, gratitude, optimism, hope, and happiness. Psychological well-being is also influenced by social support and religiosity. This study aimed to examine the effect of social support on students’ psychological well-being, with religiosity as a moderator. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of cognitive behavior modification to reduce academic procrastination of high school students. To achieve this goal, this study used a single subject design. Three male students and two female students were selected as research participants using a purposive sampling technique. This study aims to discover the effectiveness of group counseling with self-instruction and time management techniques in decreasing academic procrastination in mathematics learning. This research used a randomized pre-test post-test comparison group design with sixteen participants selected through a purposive random sampling technique. Eight of those participants (group 1) used the self-instruction technique; meanwhile, the other eight participants (groups 2) used the time management technique. The data was obtained through an academic procrastination scale, referring to academic procrastination aspects, developed by Tuckman. Introduction: Burnout is common among health professions trainees characterized by emotional exhaustion induced by repeated stressors. Although traditional stress management activities to promote wellness are effective in reducing stress short-term, alternative approaches are needed with the potential for long-term impact. Research in counseling is at risk of becoming impertinent, if not irrelevant, with an over-emphasis on perceptions of counselors or counselors in-training, and a lack of evidence supporting client-centered outcomes and community needs. Students seeking doctoral degrees in training may have limited interest in research, and research courses are typically taught outside of the discipline by individuals unaffiliated with the counseling profession. Research courses may not be aligned with the needs of counseling researchers who focus on individuals and small groups. In 2019, only 3% of refugees had access to higher education. Using qualitative research methods of surveys and semi-structured interviews, this study explores the perspectives of two student affairs professionals and six individuals with formal refugee status granted by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and in possession of a refugee travel document, who have not yet been resettled and are pursuing higher education in the United States. Research on students classified as Emotionally Disturbed (ED) shows that a disproportionate number of ED students are educated outside of the general education setting. In New Jersey a little more than half of students classified as ED are not educated in general education classrooms for most of their school day. The purpose of this capstone is to explore strategies employed by graduate-level admissions professionals to counteract the recent fall in international student enrollment as reported by the US Department of State in November of 2018. The US depends heavily on foreign students for economic gains nationally and financial stability at the institutional level. The purpose of this phenomenological study was to investigate first-generation students’ perceptions of how their lived experiences have impacted their academic and non-academic success. We utilized focus groups consisting of first-generation students who attended a rural community college and a large, public, metropolitan, research university, and compared their lived experiences. Our findings confirmed some past research that found that a lack of social capital, academic preparation, financial resources, and family support challenge this population of students in their transition to college.
