The student-athlete college selection process is a major decision impacting their future academic and athletic success. A better understanding of factors influencing this selection process will aid intercollegiate athletic programs in recruiting and retaining the highest caliber athletes possible. This study examined the factors influencing the college choice decisions of NCAA Division II elite track and field athletes across the United States. The participants were 320 athletes who represented 78 NCAA Division II institutions located in eight regions across the United States. Effective advising requires practitioners to engage in analysis of theory and practice. Philosophical underpinnings regarding notions of self can shape the advising encounter and determine the level of receptiveness of advisors toward the whole student. A brief review of Western philosophies of the self provides context for Martin Buber's radical dialogic philosophy of the self. Buber offered a foundation for an overarching theory of advising and addressed the selection and timing of particular advising methods in response to students. Career decision-making abilities are an important part of a student's career development continuum. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the GURU (Ground, Understand, Revise, Use) process as a group guidance technique to improve vocational school students' career decision-making abilities. The Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design experimental method was used in this research and the subjects were 12 students of SMKN 1 Trenggalek. Data analysis using the Two Independent Sample Test Mann Whitney U, obtained the Asymp value. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.03 < real level ( /2 = 0.05) and it was concluded that the "GURU Process" as a group guidance technique was effective in improving the career decision making abilities of vocational school students. From these results, the researcher suggests that Counselors/BK Teachers can collaborate the TEACHER process with various other approaches, using it to develop various student potentials by paying attention to their development stages, psychological aspects and intervention content. Future researchers are advised to examine the GURU process with other research designs such as Single-Subject Designs or action research and pay attention to the use and feasibility of the instrument and its validity, as well as applying it to develop various other psychological aspects such as motivation, self-esteem, self-efficacy, critical thinking skills, the ability to think respectfully and so on.

This experimental study using Single Case Experimental Design (SCED) model of the A-B-A’. The subject of research are three students of SMKN 2 Malang which show a low level of self efficacy social based on the scale of self efficacy social. This development reaserch aims to produce sociodramas manual to increase the value of social care junior high school students theoretically and practically acceptable. This research method adapted the Borg and Gall procedural model covering the planning stage, the stage of product development and test phase of the product. Design test is test material experts and drama experts, potential users test products and test a small group. These products meet very precise criteria, very useful, very easy and very attractive to mean very feasible to use. It can be concluded that the guidelines have been grateful sociodramas theoretically and practically.

This research aims to describe the characteristics and metacognition of high school counselors. The type of research used is descriptive with a survey method. The research subjects were 166 school counselors. The research results show that the counseling process has not fully implemented metacognition-based counseling skills. This indicates that in implementing counseling, counselors have not taken into account the effectiveness of intrapersonal skills as an integrated skill within the counselor.
