Designers navigate uncertainty and opportunity as artificial intelligence (AI) reshapes the UX landscape. This dissertation presents an exploratory study investigating how UX designers perceive the increasing prominence of AI in their professional work. It also applies Albert Bandura’s self-efficacy theory to organize the findings and examine how performance accomplishments, vicarious experiences, verbal persuasion, and physiological states influence their adaptation to AI. Findings indicate multiple perspectives in the sample interviewed: In this study, junior designers predominantly express anxiety over job security, while senior designers tend to embrace AI as a strategic partner that grants them a "seat at the table." Authentic leadership has garnered increasing attention from scholars and practitioners for its emphasis on ethical and transparent leadership practices that foster positive organizational outcomes. Despite its popularity, research into its antecedents remains underdeveloped. This study is a response to calls to examine potential psychometric predictors of authentic leadership, focusing on temperament as a biologically-rooted factor. This quantitative research involved surveying 338 U.S. leaders on temperament and authentic leadership. This study developed a reliable scale for measuring Social Capital in the context of tourism operations and examines its influences on Peoples' Involvement. The quantitative research method was employed, and the five stages of data purification processes were performed: identification of dimensions and indicators, item-to-total correlation, and explorative factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and the structural equation model.
