Organizational growth and vision can outpace leadership development, which ultimately creates frustration and decline in leadership, followership, and teamwork. To counter regression, organizations must determine the factors that hinder leadership development while creating pathways towards organizational success. Research indicates that church attendance in America is in decline, but there are exceptions to this national trend. ORGANIZING A SYSTEM TO CONSOLIDATE EPILEPSY REFERRALS TO AN OUTPATIENT NEUROLOGY PRACTICE

An outpatient neurology practice was experiencing delayed or lost referrals for epilepsy monitoring. This delay was leading many patients to suffer unnecessary and unmanaged seizures and, in some cases, frequent trips to the emergency department.

As a result, a team consisting of the neurology practice and neuro-navigators used baseline metrics to demonstrate the current state of the problem and conducted a root cause analysis that outlined several causes. A number of countermeasures were initiated with the goal of decreasing referral misses.

Current scholarship on organizational practices that foster a sense of care and collaboration in work relationships has yet to fully account for the potential misalignment between the goals of a given practice and how it is actually experienced. To address this issue, we develop a theoretical framework of experiential organizing, which we define as an iterative process through which positive relational and bureaucratic goals of a practice are pursued via symbolically and experientially oriented work. This qualitative study explored community bank leaders’ perception of conflicts between their personal values and core corporate values when negotiating critical decisions. At this stage in the research, the negotiating of decisions were generally defined as resolving conflicts between personal and organizational values. Results provide an understanding of how values-based leadership affects executive level decisions in community banks. A purposeful sample of community bank leaders participated in qualitative interviews. Does Economic Policy Uncertainty Strengthen Peer Effects On Investments?, Jiawei Wang

The paper demonstrates that firms are more likely to follow their peers when they face economic policy uncertainty. Using a newly developed economic policy uncertainty index and the financial data from COMPUSTAT of US firms, I find evidence that economic policy uncertainty strengthens peer effects on investments. In this paper, I propose a reputation-based theory and information-based theory to support the findings. Peer effects are stronger for less successful firms and financial constrained firms during periods when economic policy uncertainty is notable. يستهدف البحث تسليط الضوء على التمويل الزراعي وقياس دوره في التأثير على الناتج المحلي الاجمالي في العراق خلال المدة 1998-2012، بالاعتماد على القروض الممنوحة للقطاع الزراعي من المصارف وكذلك القروض الممنوحة من برنامج المبادرة الزراعية وباستخدام اسلوب التحليل القياسي، فقد تم اختبار استقراريه البيانات ومن ثم تقدير النتائج من خلال نموذج الانحدار البسيط، وقد اجتاز النموذج الاختبارات الاحصائية والقياسية، وقد ظهر التأثير الايجابي للتمويل الزراعي على الناتج المحلي الاجمالي اذ ان زيادة التمويل الزراعي بمقدار 1% يؤدي الى زيادة الناتج بمقدار (0.325%).
