هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على دور التفكير الاستراتيجي في تعزيز القدرات التنافسية في شركة أوريدو للاتصالات الخلوية في محافظات قطاع غزة، وقد اعتمد الباحث في إجراء الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي باستخدام الاستبانة كأداة للدراسة، وتوزيعها على المجتمع من الموظفين العاملين في الإدارة العليا والوسطي بالشركة المبحوثة، وقام باستخدام أسلوب الحصر الشامل لجمع البيانات المطلوبة من مجتمع الدراسة والبالغ عددهم (100) مفردة، وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى النتائج التالية جاء مجال التفكير الاستراتيجي بدرجة موافقة مرتفعة من قبل العاملين في شركة أوريدو وبوزن نسبي (80.5%)، كما أن هناك درجة موافقة مرتفعة حول القدرات التنافسية وبوزن نسبي (73.3%)، وأظهرت أيضاً وجود …

The Covid-19 pandemic has become a major disruption to colleges and universities around the world with most institutions moving to online-only instruction. As a result, the use of controlled environments to deliver hands-on experiences in typical MIS curriculum courses, such as programming, database management, network administration, information security, and web design was no longer available. This paper discusses a variety of simulated environments where students get hands-on experiences to replace the traditional learning environment in a classroom or computer lab setting.

The COVID-19 pandemic has shaken the world to its proverbial core with institutions for higher learning caught in the crosshairs. Consequently, every facet of higher education has been indelibly affected. Traditional classroom instruction immediately changed, and a nontraditional delivery method emerged inclusive of both hybrid and online instruction. This paper describes three instructional design cases impacting over 3,500 students annually and taught by midcareer female mass section faculty from one of the largest business schools at a tier-one public research university in the Southern region of the US. The three instructors of mass sections describe how they transitioned their face-to-face or hybrid courses from “Emergency Response Teaching” mode to considered distance learning implementation during the COVID-19 crisis. Educational research suggests that teaching techniques are subject matter specific. Teaching techniques in introductory programming classes are centered around two approaches used by students in learning. One approach is where students develop a thorough understanding of what they are learning. This is referred to as “deep learning”. Purpose: This research explores Lean Six Sigma (LSS) limitations identified in previous studies and underpins the need to integrate Lean Six Sigma with Industry 4.0. Furthermore, this paper presents a use case for an opportunity offered by data-driven tools.

Method/Approach: Expert Interviews were conducted with senior Lean Six Sigma practitioners and academics in Europe. The data were analysed using qualitative content analysis and NVivo software.

Design/methodology/approach: A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted based on the following academic publishers: Emerald, Elsevier/Science Direct, Sage, Springer Link, Taylor & Francis, and Willey online. Workplace ostracism is a passive, low intensity behavior associated with coworkers ignoring or excluding others. It is one of several constructs under a larger framework of workplace aggression that is harmful to the target of the ostracism and more broadly, hurts organizations. Ostracism is particularly detrimental in workplace settings because unlike the other overt, direct forms of workplace aggression, the covert, subtle nature of ostracism often leaves targets wondering if the ostracism is real or imagined. Introduction: Burnout in emergency medicine and in residency training has been well-described. The impact of demographic, individual, and programmatic factors on burnout have not previously been determined in a national survey of emergency medicine residents. This study aimed to identify personal and environmental factors impacting resident burnout in a national sample of emergency medicine residents.

Methods: A prospective Emergency Medicine Resident Wellness Survey was administered in 2017. We surveyed respondents on demographic, personal, and environmental factors; each respondent also completed the Maslach Burnout Inventory - Human Services Survey.
