This book explores ways in which libraries can reach new levels of service, quality, and efficiency while minimizing cost by collaborating in acquisitions. In consortial acquisitions, a number of libraries work together, usually in an existing library consortia, to leverage size to support acquisitions in each individual library. In cross-functional acquisitions, acquisitions collaborates to support other library functions. For the library acquisitions manager, technical services manager, or the library director, awareness of different options for effective consortial and cross-functional acquisitions allows for the optimization of staff and resources to reach goals. Each year, Musselman Library asks Gettysburg College faculty, staff, and administrators to help create a suggested summer reading list. The result is You’ve Gotta Read This!—a booklet filled with fiction, nonfiction and film recommendations that we hope will offer a reading and viewing go-to list for the summer and beyond.
The 2019 collection has suggestions from 173 employees who offer 258 recommendations of favorite books, films, and television programs that will satisfy a wide range in reading and viewing tastes and genres.

This presentation explains Providence St. Joseph Health's experiences in creating researcher/author profiles in the Expert Gallery of Digital Commons, their institutional repository. Objective: This paper discusses the experiences of an institutional repository (IR) manager at a multi-state health system. Launched in 2018 the IR aims to gather published articles, presentations, posters, etc. produced across the 50+ hospitals in the system. Since the IR is new, there is the opportunity to build social justice and critical librarianship in to the strategic planning from the beginning.
