South Broomehill-Gnowangerup Area : Catchment Appraisal Report 2001, Tim D. Overheu, Western South Coast Catchment Appraisal Team (Wa)

Resource management technical reports

This report covers the South Broomehill-Gnowangerup area in Western Australia, incorporating eight sub-catchments: Wadjekanup, Peringillup, Pindellup, Jam Creek, Woodyarrup, Upper Pallinup, Gnowangerup and Jackitup, and the townsites of Broomehill, Tambellup and Gnowangerup. This report focuses on the agricultural and natural resources at risk and attempts to identify options to manage the potential risks within the area.

North Jerramungup Fitzgerald Area : Catchment Appraisal Report 2001 (Reviewed 2007), Tim D. Overheu, Western South Coast Catchment Appraisal Team (Wa)

Resource management technical reports

This report covers the North Jerramungup Fitzgerald zone, an amalgamation of the smaller sub-catchments of Jacup, Fitzgerald, Mallee Road and part of Hamersley River, North West Jerramungup, North Jerramungup and North Needilup in Western Australia. This report primarily focuses on the agricultural and natural resources at risk within the study area and attempts to identify options to manage the potential risks.

Lort And Young Rivers Catchment : Catchment Appraisal 2001, Jamie Bowyer, Esperance Catchment Support Team (Wa)

Resource management technical reports

Using the Rapid Catchment Appraisal process, this report summarises current information for the Lort and Young Rivers Catchment, 75 kilometres west of Esperance in Western Australia. The Rapid Catchment Appraisal (RCA) process is one of the processes included in the strategy to tackle salinity and its management in Western Australia. The RCA process provides a 'snap shot' of information on the risk and impact to agricultural production and natural resources within regional geographic catchments.

Yarra Yarra Catchment : Rapid Catchment Appraisal Report 2001, M Clarke

Resource management technical reports

Using the Rapid Catchment Appraisal process, this report summarises current information for the Yarra Yarra Catchment, Northern Agricultural Region in Western Australia. The Rapid Catchment Appraisal (RCA) process is one of the processes included in the strategy to tackle salinity and its management in Western Australia. The RCA process provides a 'snap shot' of information on the risk and impact to agricultural production and natural resources within regional geographic catchments.

Hydrogeological Study Of The Dongolocking Reserves, Dumbleyung, Western Australia, Ben Whitfield Jan 2001

Hydrogeological Study Of The Dongolocking Reserves, Dumbleyung, Western Australia, Ben Whitfield

Resource management technical reports

The aims of the hydrogeological study were to assess the characteristics of aquifers within the weathered zone, throughout the Dongolocking Reserves and in the surrounding farmland; provide baseline data on root zone salt store (EM38) and vertical distribution of stored salts (EM38) through the use of ground-based geophysical techniques; identify remnant bush at risk of salinisation; suggest management options to address any observed salinity problems; provide a groundwater monitoring network.

Blackwood Catchment : Katanning Zone (Zone 6) : Catchment Appraisal 2001, Henry Brockman, Blackwood Rapid Catchment Appraisal Team (Wa)

Resource management technical reports

The aim of this report is to document the extent of salinity and land degradation within the Katanning zone, Western Australia, and management options aimed at reducing recharge and land degradation.

Coastal Land And Groundwater For Horticulture From Gingin To Augusta, Dennis Van Gool, Werner Runge

Resource management technical reports

Due to a variety of factors, including infrastructure needs, labour requirements and transport costs, horticulture is normally located near major urban centres. This study focuses on the coastal plain region from Gingin to Augusta. This region accomodates over 80% of Western Australia's population and includes the States major urban centres. This region also accounts for over half the State's horticultural production with a gross value of production of $244 million.

The Physical And Hydrological Characteristics Of A South Coast Sandplain Site : East Howick Site Survey, Robert Anthony Sudmeyer Jan 1998

The Physical And Hydrological Characteristics Of A South Coast Sandplain Site : East Howick Site Survey, Robert Anthony Sudmeyer

Resource management technical reports

This Technical Report documents the physical and hydrological characteristics of a farmland site on the Esperance Sandplain. The site was located on 'Belalie Farm East' 110 km east of the town of Esperance in the locality of Howick (AMG 488900, 6277500) The site was typical of the sandplain landsystem which covers 35% (0.72 million ha) of the Esperance Agricultural Region. The farm was cleared over a number of years beginning in the 1970's and an extensive network of windbreaks established.
