Gradebadge: Development Of A Cloud-Based Reward Application, Erwin Toni Soekianto
Gradebadge: Development Of A Cloud-Based Reward Application, Erwin Toni Soekianto
Theses Digitization Project
The purpose of this project is to investigate the use of cloud-based services to deliver cutting edge applications. For this purpose, a prototype of a reward application using badges, called Gradebadge, was developed to illustrate and explore this emerging paradigm.
Ticketing And Event Management Web Service, Nikolay Figurin
Ticketing And Event Management Web Service, Nikolay Figurin
Theses Digitization Project
The purpose of this project was creating a web based application that included: user account creation, event creation per user, tiered ticket sales per event, search capabilities, a focus on scalability and data redundancy, a focus on verification of event creator identities and administration features, a focus on account expandability, an ability to easily expand functionality, ease of migration and stability, low and inexpensive maintenance, as well as an optimal framework relying on a platform as a service content delivery network with the option of database abstraction.
Graduate Advisor System, Richard Brian Pallow
Graduate Advisor System, Richard Brian Pallow
Theses Digitization Project
The purpose of this project is to update the architecture and design of the California State University San Bernardino Graduate Advisor System. This system allows potential students into the Master of Science degree program in Computer Science to complete their application online.
Java Synchronized Collaborative Multimedia Toolkit: A Collaborative Communication Tool, Rohit Chavan
Java Synchronized Collaborative Multimedia Toolkit: A Collaborative Communication Tool, Rohit Chavan
Theses Digitization Project
In this project a collaboration multimedia toolkit, JSCMT (Java Synchronized Collaborative Multimedia Toolkit) was developed which is intended to connect a group of people located in different geographical locations who are working on the same project.
Using A Distributed Object-Oriented Database Management System In Support Of A High-Speed Network Intrusion Detection System Data Repository, Phillip W. Polk
Using A Distributed Object-Oriented Database Management System In Support Of A High-Speed Network Intrusion Detection System Data Repository, Phillip W. Polk
Theses and Dissertations
The Air Force has multiple initiatives to develop data repositories for high-speed network intrusion detection systems (IDS). All of the developed systems utilize a relational database management system (RDBMS) as the primary data storage mechanism. The purpose of this thesis is to replace the RDBMS in one such system developed by AFRL, the Automated Intrusion Detection Environment (AIDE), with a distributed object-oriented database management system (DOODBMS) and observe a number of areas: its performance against the RDBMS in terms of IDS event insertion and retrieval, the distributed aspects of the new system, and the resulting object-oriented architecture. The resulting system, …
Rule-Based Module And Object-Oriented Design For Optical Character Recognition, Min Gao
Rule-Based Module And Object-Oriented Design For Optical Character Recognition, Min Gao
Theses
In this thesis, I present a optical character recognition technique based on the rule-based module and object-oriented design. A document image is first scanned, and then segmented into isolated characters by the use of projection profiles. The recognition procedures include three steps: contour extraction, strokes detection and rule-based classification. The contour extraction is to extract the outbound boundary and to perform the boundary linking and noise removal. The stroke detection is to detect the features or strokes of the outbound boundary, such as horizontal/vertical lines, left/right slash lines and left-/right-opened curves. The rule-based classification consists of two rules: character definition …
