The purpose of this project was to create an automated Case Review System. The current Case Review System is a manual process that is being performed by Eligibility Lead Workers and Eligibility Worker Supervisors. The reviewers utilize an Excel sheet to record every individual reviewers results and print out many copies for the appropriate parties. The automated system is designed to track, and catch mistakes in determining eligibility of the welfare applicants. This dissertation examined antecedents of the use of contemporary management control systems (MCS) by testing the alignment of strategic and contextual variables with variables of contemporary systems of control in the organization. The study further explored the performance consequences of the implementation of these control systems, and the manner in which strategy can influence the organization’s control culture and management accounting practices. The purpose of this research was to develop an information requirements analysis method that would provide the Director of Cyberspace Forces with the information required to support effective command and control of cyberspace. This research investigates the role of information in command and control, information in the traditional war fighting domains, cyberspace as a war fighting domain, and various methods of determining information requirements of organizations. This research produced an information requirements analysis method that is suitable for identifying the command and control information requirements of the Director of Cyberspace Forces.

The purpose of this project was to analyze six companies in various industries that are currently using systems, applications, and products in data processing (SAP)'s R/3. It outlines the history of SAP and gives background on the companies including what they used before R/3, why they chose R/3, and some of the challenges involved with the changing over to R/3. The companies that were analyzed are Allegran Pharmaceuticals, Pacific Communications, Varian Incorporated, Northop-Grumman, Sempra Energy, and Goodrich. A comparison of the companies is done along with analysis on strategic motivators behind the change to R/3.

The purpose of the research is to examine the attitudes of IS executives to the current and future importance of some of the approaches to measuring IS efficiency and IS effectiveness in large Australian organisations. The study identified the nature of IS effectiveness approaches along the lines of whether they are business-oriented, IS internal/operational, financial, quantitative or qualitative measures. It also examined whether the structure of the IS management and industry sector had an effect on attitudes towards these measures.

A total of 126 subjects at various levels of school and a health related manufacturing firm participated in three experiments that compared Tables, Line graphs and Bar graphs forms of data presentation. The experiments were performed each consisting of a training task followed by answering some questions based on the presented material. The experimental series were presented to six groups. Group 1, 3, 5 viewed Line graphs, Tables or Bar graphs respectively while answering the questions while the other three groups answered questions based on memory of either Line graphs, Table or Bar graph presentation.
